At a Restaurant near my hometown. Isn´t it beautiful?
If Germany just wouldn´t be THAT expensive....

A discussion in Utata made me think about home, some results here: ;)

Home to me is the whole area (around 40KM) around the place I was born.
Coming home for me is always strange.
Childhood there was partly pleasure, but mainly it's just a big blurr because I tried to forget a lot of things.
But with some years of traveling in between and making peace with memories, I am starting to take a real pleasure in exploring that region anew with my camera when I'm there.
Most of the times I don't have much time though.
Oh well ;)

Here's one of my favorite shots I could snap the last time we had a few days with my Mom.
Not the village I was born, but close to it.

It's something about that region. No real big cities, village folk that sometimes acts like they live in big cities, but it's still all small and tiny in their minds even though they would have so much room to let their spirits fly.
Then on the other hand you have many artists and free minds there that did exactly that.
It's a weird region, sort of :)
But I love it and hopefully one day get the chance to stay longer and take the right shots and am able to explain better.

We met some relatives on our walk today. But they must be closer related to my Mom, they talked to her but not to me ;)
(That's an inside joke. My Mom said once to me, after seeing some cows on the field: "Hey, there are your sisters" And I answered:"You should know...."

We already had a nice little morning walk. The dogs could run loose all the way, met another doggie girl with which they could play, I took some nice macro shots (actually, I don't know yet if they are nice, because of these deer shots ;)
I then decided to take another way than usual and go back a path where the dogs can run loose a bit longer and for some reason, these deer decided to pose for me and the dogs listened to me and stayed where I told them to stay :)
Perfect morning walk.
I hope, you all have a good one too!

(Btw. handheld and only a bit cropped. But I'm uploading small sizes of my shots, 'cause two weeks ago, I got an email from a nice flickrite who found the first one of my own shots on somebody else's stream.....)

With this view I say "Byebye" for the next few days.

Tomorrow morning I'll hit the road again, back to Germany, to get some Veterinarian papers from the Germans, so the Kuwaitis let me / us in the country.

One of the rare ones, I shot with flash. I hate blinding people and we were way too close to use flash constantly :(
But without flash the pics were too dark. Candle light isn't the greatest for good shots :P
