I was watching "Saw 3" on friday. Mhm, it's not such a good horror movie, too brutal in some scenes ( yes, i am getting old, i told ya ) and with some goofs. Saw1 was the best by far.
Anyways, since my son got a funny toy saw/grinder for his birthday i thought it was fun to do this sequence. Three in row, part three.... etc.

These shots were taken at friday nite wen i came back from cinema. I uploaded my latest 365 SPs today because of a lack of time and motivation.

i just set the timer of my cellphone cam, put the thing on the little wall on the ground you see here and pushed the button, went away... one take. some luck...

I finished the 365-project yesterday and wanted to add ALL 365 SPs to this album, that's why you will find some old SPs here as well now. Some i had to re-import. A review about the project is here.

Woke up with a huge hangover this morning and a sore throat from shouting yesterday.
Coffee might help and I decided to stay in bed and work here unless the kids and Ina will let me ... LOL.

unfocussed, blurry, noisy, no highs, no lows, wide and seeing double. that's a total reflection of me at the moment

Day 61/365:

I am steadily trying to balance my real life (yes, i have one) with the virtual and digital life here at flickr* trying to find enough time for both. Trying to satisfy every part of it and everybody involved. This ends up in twisted thoughts and feelings sometimes. I could need some good time-management or someone that tells me how to really make this twist a strong withstanding assembly. :-)

Just wanted to illustrate that in some way ;-) ...

One thing is clear, through flickr I learned a lot already that I can "use in real life", partial self-trust, a bit of self-confidence, optimized communication, improved english in parts, get to know friends** from all over the world, find tipps concerning art, design and photography... I know that sounds very geeky and nerdy and as if i wouldn't have that in real life. But so what, it's a fact and it feels good. And btw. I do have all that in real life also. But you know, sometimes it seems that you need strangers to tell you things, to convince you of something. Someone with a distance...

* to be honest, it' s not only flickr, but my jobs and all that

Perzonal War were playing live yesterday at Bonn Brückenforum. I met about 10-20 old friends over there. I been hanging around with these guys every single day about 15 years ago. The time when I was also in a band as a singer... Three of the four in this picture were in a band called "basic melange", Tobias (Emp) on the left was playing guitar and main songwriter. Sascha (Schröpke) behind me on the right was our bassplayer and is still active in several bands. Holger in the middle is also making music in a band called "disfunction" but he was not a member of our band.

Some of you already know some of the songs and lyrics.
I will get back on that topic (my band) later in the 365days project... if you're interested that is.

I was planning to make a shot with Perzonal War (also friends of mine since over a decade) yesterday as my SP for the group, but they were so busy backstage, that I saw them after 0.00... But they were filming for a DVD with some Cams and since I was jumping and shouting their songs as a real fan in first row and must have captured me in the crowd, i will post that part of the video when the DVD is out to give you a good laught seeing me...

#054: early bird

I arrived at work about 7:15 today. It was still dark outside.

Since i don't sleep well and get up early, i have no problems driving to work at that time. The good thing is that I can turn up my music as loud as I want to without headphones and concentrate on my work and projects before the others come and start buggin' me. They usually arrive between 9 and 10am. The streets were free, it took about half an hour to get here instead of 60-90 minutes... ( ok, it's school vacation but anyway... ).

It's not a special shot again. But part of my daily life and i'm just running out of time. Hope i can do some more creative pictures at the weekend. :-)

#055: communication

Communication.

It's always been hard for me to explain what i mean. To find the right words that get through from me to the recipient. From the reactions i could tell that what i said or wrote was not what arrived at the other side. I used to try and find other words, try other ways of communication, show, speak, write without success. It was killing me cause everything just got worse. Trying to be understood just made the others go crazy. I should have better kept my mouth shut sometimes or put some mails, sms, letters in the trashcan instead of sending them to avoid misunderstanding, fights and pain.

My posture, gestures and facial expression always seem to have added to being misunderstood. I am a shy and quiet person, distant and reserved to those I don't know. It's some kind of shelter i adopted over the years - not arrogance. I look from far and make myself a picture, trust comes later, very late sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't come at all. But it's no selfishness. I care a lot about other peoples wealth, health and good mood. I'd give away almost everything to see some people be happy .
Those that have been interested to know what's behind my "mask", behind my skin, know that I don't ever mean and I don't even like to look sad or mean, arrogant or selfish. Those that have asked the right questions came to know that I am a very warm-hearted man with a lot of love and energy to give. Those that showed real interest have made a real good friend, one they can rely on, one that can be trusted. But also one that can not being taken for granted.

I know now that i still have a lot to learn concerning communication. But it's always a two-sided thing. There must be a will to understand on the recipients side. Not only a will to be understood within the senders mind and heart.

I like this one because of the "drama"-like expression and the dynamics...

We were out for a long walk through a forest in the "Siebengebirge" in Bonn today. I made 266 pictures. ;-) Here are some of them... Most will be uninteresting for you i believe but some are nice in my opinion.

pardon, i rejected the roo puppet from the pool and put this one is as my 365days contribution. pi'cs made me think about it again, it tells a little less about me though... "me in a lift" what*s so special about it... ok, actually one can see a sign in everything, but this lift was descending. And "down" is not my direction anymore! ;-)

edit: forgot one thing. this one reminds me of herrfluchts cool lift-shot here.

Copycat Alarm!
Been talkin' 'bout winter and wintersocks yesterday in Wim's stream, i mentioned my wintersocks.

Well, ok no pedicure here and no fresh paint at the wall plus my toes are soo small in comparison ;-) LOL ...but i tried to keep it as close to the original as possible. Even added 17% grain. Hope this is ok Jen?! ;-)

Happy Monday everybody! I'm having a free day today (socalled "Brückentag/Bridge Day", cause tomorrow is German Reunification Day (free again)) ....and i can start it slooooowwww.... in my thick soxx that is ;-)

There's a double-symbol in the picture. Hope you see what i was trying to illustrate.
Damn, this was a tough job because of bad picture quality and bad lighting. I am not satisfied with the outcome but I hope you get the concept and the feeling anyway.

Title inspired by Seth Godins Book "Small is the new big". ( picture surely by Sarahs latest works and some of Totte's, John's and Wim's stuff ).

I AM a small person and i had some trouble with it, so this is also a little "fuck you" to all those that think tall people are higher class or small people are lower. We're all the same, you freakin' shitheads. Character, intellect, love and state of mind is what counts, right? Dig it. And I'll laugh at you tomorrow... if i feel like it.
