Life changing.....

Three years and four months back this heart-braking young beautiful boy changed our lives :o)

A few months ago we found out he is on the Autism spectrum.... Well, for weeks I did not sleep or eat!! I tried to convince the doctors they were wrong by calling them, showing them my son and EVERY other possible thing I could think of!!

Finally I got to terms with it... I read 16 books about Autism and how to deal with "it" - read everything I possible could find on the internet.....

Now - after this time has passed I can smile when I think back... (have called the doctors and apologized for this strange behavior which obviously they are used to :)

I finally saw Alexander again as "he is" - a perfect little boy that needs different things then his brothers... BUT OMG how much his small steps makes us happy...!

We did change many things in his/our lives - what we eat, how we look at things, how we talk to him....... hm... almost everything.... but things are getting back to normal, except what we eat...

Conclusion..... Difficult times make you look at life from a different "angle" and make you learn to appreciate things that maybe you took as granted before....

Alexander has taught me soooo many things - and I absolutely love him with all of my heart... to me this little guy is PERFECT...!

(his autism makes it hard for him to be around new things and people... he does not speak as he should but slowly he is learning. He does not accept people until he is very used to them BUT... he understands far more then he should, draws far better then he should for his age... knows all the letters AND makes us smile all the time because of his GREAT sense of humor!!!))

Boys will be boys!!

This was taken after midnight last weekend on a small trip we took.... After 3 hours of fishing, running around (the 2 smaller ones) they finally got those 2 minutes a part and they tried to convince me and the rest of us that these actually are huge fishes LOL :o)

This summer we have had beautiful weather here in Iceland - thank God :o)

My time has been spent outside with my boys, time WELL spent :o)

We took a trip last week which ended in Þingvallavatn were we went fishing which is my boys favorite activity these days!!!

This beautiful "Eskimo" dog belongs to a friend - he really liked our little Sara (which is a Cavalier) but she was a little scared of this huge beautiful "bear" :o)

My youngest :o)

He is almost 3 although I am sure his mind is much MUCH older..... He is a true light in my/our life AS his older brothers of course....! He still doesn´t say much "in words" but those eyes so soooo much :o)

Took this picture for the BREAD challenge og DPC... it did ok, scored a little over 6 and was in the 21th place...

We made her a little dirty to make her fit the challenge.

Taken by my friend Ófeigur ( www.flickr.com/photos/offiof ) - this was taken for a dpc challenge. He had done all this set up work and the model couldn´t make it so I stepped in with my money case LOL - he got in number 12 there...

My team members and me - on the Olympic team (DPC)...

The one under the teddy bear is not a team member but all the others are (and my favorite Icelandic photographers (among others lol)).... There are 2 missing on the picture though...

I have been so very busy shooting Christmas pictures for other people that my camera has been tired and has not shot anything else for the past 30 days or so :o(

Good news though, I got the new 5DMARKII camera and it is brilliant - will most surtenly show some pics to you guys soon :o)

Thank all of you for stopping by and leaving those nice and beautiful comments on my pictures - although I haven´t replied to them I read them and absolutely love them... THANKS....

I have an exhibiton going on now and have sold 3 pictures already in just 5 days so I am so happy...

I have to say....

Today I went to buy some red vine and the lady (a very intelligent looking may I add) asked me for some identification ..LOL she did not belive I was over 20 years old...!!!!

I AM STILL SMILING ;o)

Well - I have started breathing normally again... Almost done working on all the shootings from last year!!! yehey!

This picture was taken by Arngrímur, my 12 years old - taken on New Years eve, as we were dancing around our house :o) btw... the last picture taken from me last year (the year I turned 19 bwahahaha)...

As for my little exhibition - already sold a few pictures from it, thereof 2 today - so although the financial part is not that great in Iceland these days I am not going to complain!!!

Will drag my friends out for some picture taking soon - have not seen any Aurora lights here the past few weeks but hopefully soon...

As most of you probably know, Iceland is going through some very rough times... Well, as the rest of the world is...

The past 9 days have been very hard on the Icelandic nation and we are not sure about our country´s future BUT...

I have to believe something good comes out of this! As for me and my family and friends - we stick together and we know that love and friendship are the most important thing!! (that is IMHO ;o)

This picture is taken in Hvalfjörðurinn on a small trip we took some days ago - LOL Alexander does not like strong wind as we had this day, he is so afraid of it - which is funny, living in Iceland :o) I guess we will just have to move to a warm, sunny, beautiful country mmmmm, well, or hope he will learn to appreciate the Icelandic weather :o)

To all of you, living in Iceland and out of Iceland, I really send you all of my best wishes!!!

The weather has been like this lately so Iceland is not cold at the moment (17-19°c IS warm hehe)....The boys are outside playing from dusk till dawn (or the other way around ;o)

We spent yesterday at this beautiful "lake" Hvaleyravatn - were Kristinn Logi made all of us WET from top to toe jehey!!!

these pictures were taken by my mother at the same day as the previous picture was taken - Alexander was always about to fall in the water so I had to "rescue" him which did not make him that happy :o) He absolutely wanted to dive in BUT as nice as the weather was then the water is just a LITTLE to cold ;o)

Alexander Hrafn turned 2 on the 25th of June... As we have been traveling so much for the past few months there has not been much time to sit down and organize birthday parties for the little ones - of course we celebrate their b-days but not with HUGE parties :o) But as things will hopefully start to slow down soon they will invite their little friends AND family of course for a party...

Alexander is watching Arngrímur and Kristinn Logi on their grandfathers motorbike on this picture NOT liking to much what he is watching LOL...
