4 ladies in search of the Aurora Borealis set off on a frosty night at Kleifarvatn near Hafnafjordur Iceland. A splendid display of the beautiful Northern Lights, glorious weather, great company, have to practice more night photography! I hope I will be able to do this again

Entered this shot at DPChallenge for b/w competition, landed in 61st place out of 423. I think the blurred feet got me minus points but for such a magnificent creature full of energy, it couldn't be helped..my camera is at fault

This little "Nawar" girl looked at me with anticipation, thinking I had brought presents while the only thing I brought was a notepad and pen to write down comparisons between her language and that of the Roma. I entered this in a challenge at DPChallenge for the month of August, it didn´t do too bad but not as I had hoped for, oh well....never keep your hopes high, than you won´t be disappointed :)

Photo a day for August 2006. This little boy is very unusual for Jordan, I saw him being carried in a trolley by his dad as they collected metal scraps and cans from the side of the road. The are "Nawar" or Gypsies, lots of them in my neighborhood and I simply like them, always smiling and pushy but do no harm to anyone. The boy actually reminds of Pippi Longstockings, same freckles, same hair, same teeth..

This is our Lilli, he came to us as a starving kitten, he was like a bottomless barrel for the first few weeks and usually ate with his whole face, my daughter picked him up as he was gobbling up some milk
