The mountain tops are now white from snow and the leaves are getting red, yellow and brown before falling to the ground. My father fell too when hurrying across a slippery road, but he is already feeling better :o)

The weather has been bad lately so I haven't taken any pictures, but at least the kids like it when it is snowing :o) My son told me I should have skipped one of those pictures so it wouldn't look like my daughter had her head stuck in.... :D but I decided to have it this way :o)

I was working in a lousy weather today, cold and wet. When I opened the back of the car, those two dogs came to me and jumped straight inside and wouldn't go out again :o)
I let them stay there while I was setting up my equipment but then I had to push them out... by then they had walked and jumped all around and the car was twice as dirty as before :o)

I took this photo when driving home yesterday. The weather has been lousy lately, always windy and raining and not many photo opportunities. The sea and the sky just blend together in some gray dull mist but hopefully we will have some beautiful days soon :o)

We stopped at a small house in the country side where an old lives all alone. He got us the equipment to fix the tires that went flat on the mountain. He had just done his laundry and had put it out to dry :o)

My 15 minutes of fame :o)

I saw those information signs today when was driving at work. They have my pictures on them and there are more, mostly here in the western part, but also in other parts of the country. I was very proud, this is the first time I have sold any of my pictures ;o)

A picture I took in the hotel yard one night. I didn't have a tripod so I had to put the camera on a table close to the pool.
They don't have much fresh water there so the swimming pools were with sea.... and I can't believe how cold the pools are abroad :o)

When we arrived to Fuerteventura the winds were blowing sands from Sahara to the island. I was a bit surprised to see that there was almost nothing green on the island except the gardens and one golf course :o)

We had to rent a boat this morning to measure the depth of the sea where a new road will be built across Djupifjordur. My son took this picture when we were sailing there early this morning. I was going to upload the song "Sailing" with Rod Stewart, but couldn't find it :o)
Edit: Charon had that song so here it is :o)

I saw this sheep (or what's left of it) when I had to stop for a while on my way to Reykholar today. I don't know what happened, but there were about 10 more there, in the middle of nowhere, about 50 meters from the road...

... are harder than others at work. Those low branches start tangling right at the ground and make it very difficult to walk through. The shoelaces get caught in them as well as the cables from the equipment... and your hands... and your legs :o) After a day of surveying in a land like this, your legs are all scratched and bruised and you don't look forward to the next day ;o)
And this is just the easy part, the rest of those trees is twice as high :o)

Those two young Ptarmigans got separated from the rest when a whole family was crossing a gravel road in front of us. We got out, caught them and took pictures while the mother waited eagerly for them to return. As soon as they got free, they ran towards the rest of the family and probably told heroic stories of their escape :o)

Put a lid on it! :D
