"Ballerinas of the Garden" ... in places like Texas, America this flower blooms around mid-August, well in Thailand, this was photographed yesterday, day before Valentine.

Chinese ink painting done using a digital camera ... of course it needs some chinese Tang poetry written in running script vertically at the top left hand corner, and to be finished off with one or more red seals at the lower left, aligned of course with the calligraphy.

Jasmine
It is the national flower of the Philippines. In the Philippines, the flowers are gathered and strung into leis, corsages and crowns or its oils distilled and sold in stores, streets, and outside churches. The garlands may be used to welcome guests, or as an offering or adornment in religious altars.

Besides the Philippines, it is also the national flower of Indonesia. In Indonesia, the flower symbolizes purity, eternal love and nobility. It also symbolizes the beauty of a girl. The flower is commonly used in religious or cultural ceremony especially in Java and Bali. It is nicknamed puspa bangsa (nation flower or people flower) by the government.

In Hawaii, the flower is known as "pikake" or "pikaki," and is used to make fragrant leis. In South India, jasmines are strung into thick strands and worn as a hair adornment. In China, the flower is processed and used as the main ingredient in jasmine tea.

In Thailand, jasmine flowers are used as a symbol of the mother.

Hibiscus, or rosemallow, is a large genus of about 200–220 species of flowering plants in the family Malvaceae (the mallow family, along with members like cocoa, cotton, okra, baobab and durian).

The natives of southern India uses the Red hibiscus- the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis for hair care purposes. The red flower and leaves, extracts of which can be applied on hair to tackle hair-fall and dandruff on the scalp. It is used to make hair protective oils. A simple application involves soaking the leaves and flowers in water and using a wet grinder to make a thick paste, and used as a natural shampoo. Dried hibiscus is edible, and is often a delicacy in Mexico.
