These Elephant Ear plants growing in a neighbor's ditch attracted my attention as a few of their leaves begin to decay and die off. The leaves are usually a deep green, but as they die they turn an amazing variety of colors, with an equally amazing variety of patterns.

I usually see these web-tents higher in the trees, but this one was hanging low enough for me to get some close ups. This is pretty much a straight shot, with only slight color and contrast enhancement.

...rain drops on a Philodendron leaf, taken one morning at work. Taken a couple of weeks ago when we were still getting rain. I haven't seen any since then, and my yard is turning into a dust bowl...(=/

On the way to work one day I stopped to catch some morning light over a pasture. These viney weeds by the fence caught my eye instead...^+^

The Water Oaks in my yard are still putting out fresh young leaves at the end of the branches. I love the yellowish and red-tinged color of them compared to the dull green of the more matured leaves of the tree.

A combination of a slight freeze and no rain has made the wild ferns that grow in my yard to look more like Winter than Fall.

I shot this plant at a customer's house doing some work...I have no idea what it is, but the leaves were just gorgeous!! I didn't see any signs of flowers, but, with leaves like this, who needs 'em...*+^

The Bradford Pear has been so confused with the weather...it's had changing leaf colors for about 2 months, and there are still some green leaves left!!!!
