Velehrad belongs to the most significant pilgrimage places in Moravia. It is connected with the seat of Moravian rulers and with the place, from which Christianity has spread on the lines of the Saints Cyril and Methodius. In the neighbourhood of Velehrad there used to be the metropolitan church of St.Methodius, where he was buried. Hungarian raids destroyed Great Moravian habitations of that time, so that today we cannot specify the exact place of the cathedral or the grave. The cult of the Slavonic apostles, who are the patrons of Europe together with St.Benedictus, makes Velehrad the place of big importance even beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.

Monastery of the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St.. Cyril and Methodius is located about 5 km northwest of Uherske Hradiste in the same village. The temple dates back to the days of the arrival of Cyril and Methodius. He was one of the largest churches in Europe. During the Hussite wars the castle was extensively damaged and was repaired to the 16th koci century. 1784 Joseph II. monastery had to cancel. On the occasion of the 1100th anniversary anniversary of the death of St.. Methodius University in 1985 gave Pope John Paul II. Basilica of the Golden Rose. This high number received only a few Christian churches in the world. 22 April 1990 visit there took place the Roman Catholic Church, Pope John Paul II. Monument to this event is a huge cross with his character standing in the courtyard before the basilica.

This picture belongs to the series shot in my street in Varanasi (Benaras) while four men were emptying plaster bags from a truck.
It was very dusty, although they reminded me “butoh” dancers performing with white-body makeup.
This japonese contemporary dance came after the second world war and among several things the choreography is a remembrance of the suffering of Hiroshima's atomic bomb.
It rises the question of how is it still possible to dance after such a thing and in some ways it is easy to compare this concept of art to those workers living in dust.
