Der Vergleich mit den kurz zuvor an gleicher Stelle gemachten http://www.ipernity.com/doc/b.michael/5473049 und http://www.ipernity.com/doc/b.michael/5426332 zeigt, dass in dieser Form digitalisierte Landschaftsaufnahmen in folgenden Punkten mit Aufnahmen aus einer digitalen Quelle nicht ganz mithalten können:
Der Schärfeunterschied ist selbst in der 1024er Größe sichtbar, und die digitalen Originale (RAW) bieten auch mehr Spielraum für Optimierungen der Tonalität.

Ich werde in Zukunft vor allem dann noch auf Kleinbild (wohl zumeist Negativfilm) fotografieren, wenn die Aufnahmen für Papierabzüge benötigt werden (also z.B. im Urlaub), wenn unproblematische Archivierung gewünscht ist, oder wenn es mir um die Art von Effekten geht (die spezielle 'Rauheit' von Korn, extravagante Farben, selektive Un-Schärfe bei kürzeren Brennweiten), für die Film vielleicht noch immer besser geeignet ist.

Für alles Andere bin ich froh, wenn ich eine Digitalkamera dabei habe.
Allerdings habe ich bei dieser 'Retro'-Erkundung in der Welt der analogen Fotografie eine Menge gelernt, das mir sonst kaum so 'ins Auge' gefallen wäre:
über optische Sucher und 'lichtstarke' Festbrennweiten, die Fotografie mit wirklich selektiver Tiefenschärfe, über den nachträglichen Weißabgleich in Farbfotos, und vor allem über Mechanismen zum digitalen Nachschärfen, die auf jede Art von Foto anwendbar sind.

Für alle Arten 'ernsthafterer' Fotografie, jenseits eines bloßen Foto-Tagebuchs, würde für mich kein Weg am 'Vollformat' vorbeiführen. Aber ich zweifle immer noch, ob das digitale 'Vollformat' angesichts von Preis und Gewicht der Ausrüstung für meine Zwecke sinnvoll wäre. Vielleicht auch, weil ich mir nicht vorstellen kann, selbst 'ernsthafte' Fotografie zu betreiben.

this sight (well, a similar one) caught my eye while driving past it. I didn't really have time to stop, but then I did have the time to return about an hour later, to see if the tree was still there.

I don't often feel an urge to take landscape photos like this, but somehow couldn't resist the tree, shadow, and clouds here.

I took a few versions of this on film, too (not developped yet), wondering how they would come out.
