As a prelude to the main event of the day for the Disarm DSEi protests (the arms dealers' dinner at the Hilton Hotel) a handful of protesters decided on an impromptu action at Aviva. Bearing a still paint-wet banner a couple of them stood outside and broadcast their message in strong clear voices whilst another couple of protesters sought to gain access to the building. Being blocked at the front by security guards the intrepid pair managed to gain access through a side entrance and released helium-filled balloons that floated gracefully up toward the high ceiling.
The entire action lasted only a matter of moments, whereupon the protesters vanished as quickly as they'd arrived.

The notice on the door reads: "The 'push' button for this door is currently not working. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if you need this door opened."

I believe someone did ask them very nicely, but they didn't seem to want to assist. Can't understand why.
