OK, I know I said that I'd posted my last Hummer shot of the season, but when the Aloe plant started it's last bloom cycle and this little guy decided he liked it more than the sugar water in the feeder...well, I just couldn't resist...^+^

These Elephant Ear plants growing in a neighbor's ditch attracted my attention as a few of their leaves begin to decay and die off. The leaves are usually a deep green, but as they die they turn an amazing variety of colors, with an equally amazing variety of patterns.

I usually see these web-tents higher in the trees, but this one was hanging low enough for me to get some close ups. This is pretty much a straight shot, with only slight color and contrast enhancement.

...rain drops on a Philodendron leaf, taken one morning at work. Taken a couple of weeks ago when we were still getting rain. I haven't seen any since then, and my yard is turning into a dust bowl...(=/

Using the wrong white balance setting can sometimes change the whole mood of a shot. These Sago Palm fronds should actually be deep green, but I like this much better...^+^
