This is a shot from a glorious morning of picture-taking that I had the other day. I was chasing this wonderful light all around the yard before it disappeared. Unfortunately, I was having such a good time that I really wasn't paying much attention to my technique, so only a few shots even came out well enough to keep.

I had a great time, though!!!

I was trying my hand at using 2 layers, one exposed for the sky and one exposed for the foreground, to have the whole shot evenly exposed. After a lot of dodging and burning, I ended up with this.

A typical sight in South Louisiana. This is a welder's shop or shed, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi in Brusly. It doesn't look like much, but I'm sure it's a welder's dream!!!

BTW, that's the levee in the background, and all the smoke is from chemical plants along the River.

These shots made me late for work again!!!! You just can't drive on by when there's that much color floating around the sky!

Why the title? I've been running out of hard disk space on the computer, so today is the day that I'm going to attempt to add a second hard drive. It's supposed to be a fairly simple procedure, but I'm just a tad nervous about going into my computer's innerds!

If all goes well, I'll have 500 GB of storage.....^+^!!!!!!!!!!
