Taken from one of two lookouts overlooking the top section of Purling Brook Falls, in Springbrook National Park. This is both a stitched panorama and a tone map of a High Dynamic Range image.....The constituent images were shot on a Canon 400D with a Zeiss Flektagon f/2.4 35mm, at f/11, using a Panosaurus panoramic head.

Middle, Gloucester, North Head and Stone Islands from Flagstaff Hill on a cloudy Sunday morning.

Flagstaff Hill is one of the highest points in Bowen, providing commanding views in all directions - South to the northernmost islands of the Whitsundays, West over Bowen, North toward Kings Beach, Rose Bay and Cape Edgecumbe, and East over the Pacific.

A driver went off the side of Mount Nebo Road and plunged down the mountain into scrub. Fortunately she wasn't hurt too badly.

The RACQ crew took a good while to haul the 4WD up the hill, as it was dragging a piece of tree along with it.

Predatory Fly, Wivenhoe Outlook

This predatory fly was well over an inch long, and was stationary (I presume feeding) on a railing at the Wivenhoe Outlook at Mount Glorious.

I was able to get very close (the shot is from approximately 15cm) with the Zeiss Flektagon lens.
