oh well... I haven't been around all that much in 2007... not that I generally lost interest in these communities, I just had other things keeping my attention the last couple of months... even while I am filled with ideas and inspirations. From that point of view, since I am unsure to be online again in 2007, I just wanted to wish you all a peaceful "transit" into the new year and just all the best, inspiration, creativity, luck, love, ... for 2008. inspired by the "biomech" album by Ocean Machine as well by Gibsons short story "Winter Market" and, most notably, the character of the worn-down industrial artist making art out of junk and crap. Looking at our current cities, letting aside all the junk and garbage we tend to create in our everyday lifes, I wonder what sort of "art" a talented "artist" could make, say, out of our old (1970s...) industrial housing buildings, huge installments which are hardly "designed" and/or visually appealing, which adhere to the "form-follows-function" mantra even more than Bauhaus possibly ever did, which some consider just plain ugly... Reusing buildings for art? I don't know... but it makes me think.

... somehow I just enjoyed the mood of the old chimney in front of the cloudy, troubled evening sky... wondering whether or not an old industrial facility like this might house a very special kind of ghosts one day, perhaps the whole place in itself already _is_ a ghost by now, an artifact of times gone by long ago... structures as transient as the clouds above them... a strange mood, I guess.
