Another beautiful day last week in Gymnich where we have been at castle Gymnich, enjoyed a beautiful day, watched a bird show and have been at a Ray Wilson concert in the evening.

Went with the car last week to the garage to get the TUEV, but it didn't go through. Problems with the brakes, replacements needed. Had it done right there and got a rental car for that. A smart. I wouldn't want one, nope, not really ;)
Car is fine now, am driving it again since last week and have another two years before the new TUEV is necessary.

This place was a rose garden once. It is still called so, but there are no roses no more. The froggy was our favorite place to sit and dream of some stories :)

Am in Hungary right now, but on a painfully slow line (but better than none), sending pages after pages of dog papers to the Vet in Kuwait to get the import permit (after rescanning them...)
Besides that there are boxes to unpack (which I had at my Mom's for over two years,...oups), the house to be cleaned (the car too, if I'm already at it), a suitcase to be packed and back on the road some time this week ;)

Einer dieser Plaetze and denen wir als Kinder sehr gerne waren.
Damals waren dort noch Rosen (das Teil heisst zwar immernoch Rosengarten, aber Rosen machen wohl zu viel Arbeit), der Frosch stand auf einem Podest...aber ansonsten ist es noch wie frueher.
Wir sassen dann immer auf dem Frosch und dachten uns Stories aus.

Bin zur Zeit in Ungarn, scanne zum zweiten Mal die Hundedokument und verschicke sie einzeln zu dem Veterinaersservice in Kuwait. Aber immerhin klappt es jetzt....
Dann werde ich noch Pakete auspacken, die ueber zwei Jahre bei Muttern standen (oups...), die Wohnung und das Auto putzen, Koffer packen und wieder nach D-Land duesen....oder so ;)

Das hat mich bei meiner Ankunft in Ungarn in unserem Garten begruesst. Mein Maenne haette bestimmt direkt den Rasenmaeher gezueckt, aber a) war ich zu faul und b) find ich's viel zu schoen.

After a 4 day Stop in Hungary (unpack car and boxes, pack suitcase,...), I went back to Germany to arrange the last things for the dogs and me. This was somewhere in Austria, I think. One Stop on the Highway.
I drove with open windows the whole time, cause it was so hot. But I had to close the back ones after a while, cause King was getting cold and went underneath his blanket ;)

Nach einem 4-taegigen Kurzaufenthalt in Ungarn (Auto ausraeumen, Sachen wegraeumen, Koffer packen,...), bin ich wieder nach Deutschland zurueckgeduest, um die restlichen Dinge fuer Hunde und mich zu erledigen. Dies war glaube ich in Oesterreich. Ein Halt auf der Autobahn.
Ich bin die ganze Zeit mit offenem Fenster und Dach gefahren, da es so warm war. Allerdings hat es King irgendwann so sehr gezogen, dass ich die hinteren Fenster schliessen musste. Er hat sich unter seiner Decke verkrochen ;)

Have been in Koblenz this day to get the papers for the dogs and do some sightseeing (pictures will follow one day ;)

That cable was adapted to my Mom's phone box and laid down on the floor. A so called Internet Hookup. Special made in Germany. Congratulations! And the best thing is, it's NOT for free.....AND doesn't work right.....

Das Kabel war an di Telefonbuchse meiner Mutter angeschlossen und einfach auf den Boden gelegt.
Ein so genannter Internetanschluss.
Spezialanfertigung in Deutschland! Glueckwunsch!
Und das Beste ist, er ist nicht einmal umsonst UND funktioniert nicht richtig bis gar nicht....

It doesn't look so bad here, but trust me, I got scared when lifting that shirt and before that I had to lay down on the bed to close those pants :S

But I really did it.
We got up a bit late today (6.30 a.m.), usually we are already awake that time. I had one cup of coffee to wake up and read a bit.
I went back upstairs in our bedroom and did my little stretching program, some easy sit ups and some easy weights and push ups against the wall for my arms. All not more than 10 minutes, but it’s a start.
After that warm up, I got in my shoes, took the dogs and went for an easy 10 minute run.
Took a shower, washed my hair and had a cereal and more coffee. Too much of that again, but I’m drinking more water too ;)

Activity:
little stretching
easy sit ups (30)
easy weights and push ups against the wall for my arms
(altogether about 10 minutes)
easy 10 minute run
resting on the Couch - uh, wrong category ;)

Food:
1 Banana with 1/2 cup sugar free oat and dried fruit cereal with 1/2 cup of low fat milk
2 pieces of dark bred, one with Tuna salad and one with fresh cheese
1/2 cucumber

Beverage:
4 cups of coffee
1,5 L water
too much red vine

Current weight: 79 Kilos / 173.8 pounds (but that doesn’t really mean anything on that inaccurate scale ;))
14 Kilos / 30.8 pounds to go

After spending the day in Budapest, walking through the city center, trying to find a Restaurant (which lead us to a scary part of Budapest and no restaurant), after finding a good restaurant called "Pauls Pub" with damned good food (Ribs for Lunch, yummie), some beer and a very good waiter, after an exhausting experience at McDonalds for dinner (the worst service, slow and weird at the M7 - never go there, ever ;), we went to bed quite early.

I spent my day yesterday looking for a house in our favorite village. The one where "our" fishing lake is.
I was going to look at the house of a friend of ours, which she offered on Saturday. I didn't know if it was a joke or if she was serious.
You know that my Hungarian isn't very great yet and most people don't speak English nor German in this village. But we always get along.
Well. The house seems not to be for sale, not yet that is ;)
But I ended up going with Marta, Istvan and Joszef looking at the houses above.
It's not much money, not at all, but they all need some serious work and most of all: more rooms :)
Well, I will keep looking.
I go for one more today.
Funny that now all off a sudden houses pop up for sale. We waited for an opportunity in this place for half a year ;)

And for all the flickrites out there that live in Hungary: I just have opened up a new Flickr Meet Hungary group :)

The trip

Hubby and I have been in Budapest over the weekend.
The doggies where at a Babysitter and had a lot of fun ;)

The road got a lot better, so it took us only 2 hours to get there.
We decided to stay in a Holiday Inn a little bit outside of Budapest. It wasn't much cheaper than anything in town, but we hate driving in Budapest. And this one also offered a shuttle service to the airport. 'Cause Tuesday hubby took off to work.
I will stay here in Hungary and check for a little house for us.
On our spontaneous "Good bye party" on Saturday we got all off a sudden two offers :)
One I'll check out today, pictures later ;)

On Sunday we actually wanted to go out for dinner and go to a Casino, but we were both so hungover that we decided to eat in the Hotel The food was fantastic!
I also got to visit the Sauna and took a long bath - yeah :D!
