My bathroom in that place and the room with the washing machine.
Looks like crap, but I loved the open, big shower. No hitting your elbows at the cabin wall or sticky curtains around you :)
You could walk from the bedroom right through there into the Computer room.

I told you about Koreans and their way of building stuff.
You need another room?
No problem. Let's build one at the end of the house or put a cabin on top of the house ;)

Thought, it's time to post some leftovers from Korea :)
This is China town, or better, the entrance gate to China town in Seoul / Incheon.
Found it on the search for the airport, which nobody ever heard of ;)

After finding this bridge, you can't miss the airport anymore. But when you come the wrong way, it can take you ours to get there. No signs and nobody that knows, what an airport is, or where to find it ;)

I tried to get a snap from the red beach and the island here...oh well :)

Our yard. I loved it.
I loved the house too.
No nosy, stressful landlords living close by. Sunny, but not too hot. And I had my own plants. I miss those too. I even had some chilly and tomato plants :) Oh, maybe this summer I can have some again :)

It's finally up.

My page about Life in Korea.

I started it for a book project, which I in the end wasn't selected to participate. But at least I did do this little project. And now, finally, the pictures are visible again as well.

It still needs a lot of correction and filing, but it's up and can be continued.

Meine Seite ueber Korea.

Ich habe dieses Projekt angefangen, als man mich fragte, ob ich Teil eines Buches sein wollte (mit meinen Bildern). Klar. Leider bin ich nicht ausgewaehlt worden, doch zumindest habe ich jetzt diese Seite. Und endlich sind auch die Bilder wieder sichtbar.

Ich muss noch viel feilen und es ist laengst nicht alles dort vorhanden, aber es ist ein Anfang.

I am cleaning my archives in the attempt to maybe finish my back-up CDs any time soon.
I still have to do all 2005, but I am working on the ones from Korea from this year first.

It's kind of hard in a way. So many memories. I have seen these places and people, especially in Waegwan, where we lived, for two years and it's kind of weird to look back now and remember how it was.

This shop was down the street, from both apartments where we lived in. The lady helped me quite a few times and tried quite hard to get us to rent one of her apartments, but I always kindly refused. Never again a landlord that lives too close to me ;)

The pictures that I will upload the next few days are probably mostly crappy snapshots like this one with loads of nostalgic memory (not that the time over there really deserves it ;), so bare with me ;)

Hubbys bathroom.
They had to built the sink there. It didn't have one before. They just used a hose like in old days. A big plastic bowl and a hose. They squad on the floor and wash themselves like that, sometimes they do it with a group of women.

The bathtub in here was pretty cool too. Imagine a bathtub that's surrounded by three walls. Two at long ends and one at the small. Now try to imagine me cleaning that thing. Yeah. Got it? ;) Koreans are SMART :)!
