This is a 10 million forint (ca. 40.000,- Euro) worth deer trophy. The hunters had to pay that amount of money to shoot the deer. But they couldn't take the original trophy, only a replica.
How stupid can humankind be?
Shot in a little hunting castle nearby, using my wide angle lens and therefore having only a poor flash. But that thing was so huge, I had no other choice. I want a camera with horse shoe ;) My companion that day told me the weight, but I forgot. Gotta ask again :)

Das ist eine 10 millionen Forint (ca. 40.000 Euro) teure Jagdtrophae. Die Jaeger durften den Bock fuer das Geld schiessen. Von dem Geweih haben sie jedoch nur einen Gipsabdruck mit heim bekommen.
Wie bloed kann die Menschheit sein?
Geknipst in einem Jagdschloss hier in der Naehe. Musste es etwas manipulieren, da ich mit Weitwinkel schiessen musste. Deswegen nur schlechter Blitz. Ich will eine Kamera mit externem Blitz zum aufsetzen. Mein Begleiter an dem Tag hat mit gesagt, wie schwer das Teil war, hab's aber wieder vergessen. Muss nochmal fragen :)

We already had a nice little morning walk. The dogs could run loose all the way, met another doggie girl with which they could play, I took some nice macro shots (actually, I don't know yet if they are nice, because of these deer shots ;)
I then decided to take another way than usual and go back a path where the dogs can run loose a bit longer and for some reason, these deer decided to pose for me and the dogs listened to me and stayed where I told them to stay :)
Perfect morning walk.
I hope, you all have a good one too!

(Btw. handheld and only a bit cropped. But I'm uploading small sizes of my shots, 'cause two weeks ago, I got an email from a nice flickrite who found the first one of my own shots on somebody else's stream.....)

We got a free tour through the forrest today. In a cool little 20 year old Lada with a guy that grew up here. He wanted to show us the deer and succeeded. We saw lots of deer, male, female and small ones. Saw them fighting and listened to their song :)
I took a little video of the fighting and their sound and will try to upload it to vimeo tomorrow.
