I am cleaning my archives in the attempt to maybe finish my back-up CDs any time soon.
I still have to do all 2005, but I am working on the ones from Korea from this year first.

It's kind of hard in a way. So many memories. I have seen these places and people, especially in Waegwan, where we lived, for two years and it's kind of weird to look back now and remember how it was.

This shop was down the street, from both apartments where we lived in. The lady helped me quite a few times and tried quite hard to get us to rent one of her apartments, but I always kindly refused. Never again a landlord that lives too close to me ;)

The pictures that I will upload the next few days are probably mostly crappy snapshots like this one with loads of nostalgic memory (not that the time over there really deserves it ;), so bare with me ;)

In my experience in the rural little town we lived in, the people either were very clean or they didn't bother to pick up any trash.
They also used all kinds of stuff that other people threw away for trash. I saw a lot of interesting fences for example.

Almost every country has some sort of Traditions.
In Korea it's the "Leave the shoes outside the house"
A good tradition in a way, because the streets are always very dusty and dirty and who once had to clean a house in Korea knows what I mean.

A dogs Life in Korea is still one of the worst you can imagine.
They spend it either as a toy, with died hair, at a short leash at the front gate of the houses, in cages to soon be food or as stray dogs because they are no longer cute, left behind by foreigners. Whereas the stray dogs are the ones that are better off.
Sure, there are exceptions and slowly but steadily Life for them gets better, but the majority will end their Life that way.

This one had a short one at that. I've only seen him here for a few weeks, then he was gone, so was the second dog they had there.

Cats don't have a much better Life than dogs in Korea.
For long years they were hunted and killed, because they are supposed to be sent from the devil. Still you see a lot of cats without a tail. And I haven't seen one Korean with a cat as a pet (again, in the rural area where we lived)
