For some years we have had a Swamp soccer championship here in Isafjordur... hard to play and fun to watch :o)

This is a familiar sight at this time of year... passenger ships in Isafjordur. When the biggest ships come, they have just about as many passengers and crew members, as the number of people who live here :o)

This small fish shed stands there all winter long, but soon the old man that owns it will pull it out to sea. There he can dry his fish without the flies bothering him :o)

This morning when I went out, everything was gray and cloudy. But 20 minutes after I took the picture in the note, the sun was shining and I wanted to go hiking in the mountains. But when I got home again, the mountain tops were cloudy again so I'll just go another sunny day :o)

I was going to watch a football on TV last night when I saw a sailboat and decided to take a picture of it. The pictures were nothing special so I changed the lens and just took a picture of the landscape instead. I missed the beginning of the game and the only goal that was scored, but at least my team won :o)

The weather has been bad lately so I haven't taken any pictures, but at least the kids like it when it is snowing :o) My son told me I should have skipped one of those pictures so it wouldn't look like my daughter had her head stuck in.... :D but I decided to have it this way :o)

Another picture from the same place. This shed is used for drying fish, "harðfiskur" in Icelandic, very delicious and I love it with some salt and butter :o)

Another photo I took few nights ago when I was trying to capture the northern lights. I like this place, it is only a few minutes drive from my home and the scenery is really great on nights like this :o)

A Police Story...

When I was taking this picture, a car drove by. Few seconds later another car followed, it was the police and they turned on the lights on top to stop the other car. That explains the blue lights on the right and the red dot where the cars stopped :o)
Usually there is not much traffice at this place so late in the evening so it was funny to get those two in the same picture :o)
