It was great to take a walk in the evenings when it was not quite as hot as during the days. It went up to 44°C some days and in the evenings it was "only" 20°C, a lot warmer than the warmest summer days here in Isafjordur :o)

I took a walk in the mountainside above Isafjordur few weeks ago and took this picture. It was very chilly but I always like the view of my hometown when it is getting dark :o)

This is one of my favorite places. Very nice scenery and always great to sit down and enjoy the view after climbing up there :o)

The church in Isafjordur

This is the church in Isafjordur that was built in 1995, after the old one got burned down in 1987. The shape of the church is referring to the waves of the ocean.
You can see a "bowl" in the mountain behind the church where I sometimes go to enjoy a great view over the town, and take some pictures.
