The memorial was erected in 1926; dedicated to the five Foot Guards regiments of the Great War. The Guardsmen are Sergeant R. Bradshaw, M.M., Grenadier Guards, Lance Corporal J. S. Richardson Coldstream Guards, Guardsman J. McDonald Scots Guards, Simon McCarthy, Irish Guards and Guardsman A. Comley, Welsh Guards. An artist busking on the Southbank, in front of the Shell Building. You have to hand it to him, he's obviously very dedicated on a Saturday afternoon to entertain the audience, and earn a few quid, just look at the expression and muscle tension.
