St George on horseback slaying a dragon as part of the Bronze centre gates of Marble Arch.

Largely inspired by the Constantine Arch in Rome; Marble Arch was designed by John Nash after George IV defeated Napolean - as a gate to Buckingham Palace and but in 1832.

When an extension was made to Buckingham Palace it was moved to its location (now a traffic island...) at the junction of Oxford Street; Park Lane and Edgeware Road.

It was also a Police Station at the turn of the 20th Century!

This shot (about 7 months old) is from a cold day with the wind flowing through this horse's hair. He came over to say hello while Dad and I walked through the forest. I think he trusts me, and I trust him. Interestingly I'm watching Walk the Line in the background, and the colour treatment appears to have worn off unexpectedly! - Best Viewed Bigger - Best Viewed Bigger

on my walk on Saturday with dad we came across lots of horses, this one came over, had a chat and let me rub their nose, brilliant. Just a little bit of motion, but the eye is clear, woo!
