Tonight was frosty, clear and beautiful, so I drove with my daughter to one of my favourite places near Hafnarfjörður. It's a lake called Hvaleyrarvatn and it's as beautiful in winter as it is in summer...

... and I've really sometimes wondered... do places remember? That thought often comes to mind when I enter abandoned houses or remote places...

I went to a summer house with some good friends over the weekend. The house is situated in a beautiful valley with a lake surrounded my mountains.

Today we took a walk down to the lake, the weather was misty and rainy... but all weather is beautiful in the company of good friends :o)

Deep Water II

Another photo from the photoshoot with Ragga, Gurrý and Sigrún :o)

I thought I'd upload this one as a comparison to the one taken at 60 sec. with the ND filter. This one is taken 21 minutes earlier with no ND filter :o)

I really like the light in this one but I was wondering why the light on the mountains was so strange... then I remembered that at one time I had tried putting some kind of light fractal or star filter in front of the lens... and this must be the photo I took then. I kind of like this weird light effect :D

Went photoshooting last night with the girls... Ragga, Gurrý and Sigrún (sigjoi) :o)

This is lake Djúpavatn (Deep Water lake).

Sigrún and I got to try Ragga's "extra special Icelandic summer night filter" ;o) and oh boy, oh boy, what a difference that made! This is my result :o) I'll be posting my normal filterless photos later on :D
