This is taken at the famous beach Reynisfjara... a beach that has claimed some tourist lifes because it is hard to realize the power of the sea and how far up the beach the waves reach.

I love how the sky reflects in the receding wave and how the foam reminds me of lace and pearls :o)

Still uploading "oldies" :o) This one is taken last summer.

Just outside of Hafnarfjörður where I live, there is an aluminium plant. It is situated in a very beautiful place where the lava meets the ocean. Strange mix...

Looks better in the original size.

Tonight was frosty, clear and beautiful, so I drove with my daughter to one of my favourite places near Hafnarfjörður. It's a lake called Hvaleyrarvatn and it's as beautiful in winter as it is in summer...

This is a small lagoon just above the beach at Djúpalónssandur. By this little lagoon there are ruins of shelters where the seaman lived during the fishing periods, away from their families, often enduring harsh weathers.

This place was most active from the 15th century till the 19th century and it is thought that at some time, up to 600-700 people rowed from that place.

Popped out for the evening with Ragga, Sigrún and Arngrímur, Ragga's son. I caught him standing still as a mouse, awestruck by the beauty of the sunset :o)

Another photo from the photoshoot with Ragga, Gurrý and Sigrún :o)

I thought I'd upload this one as a comparison to the one taken at 60 sec. with the ND filter. This one is taken 21 minutes earlier with no ND filter :o)

I really like the light in this one but I was wondering why the light on the mountains was so strange... then I remembered that at one time I had tried putting some kind of light fractal or star filter in front of the lens... and this must be the photo I took then. I kind of like this weird light effect :D

Taken just after midnight on the longest day of the year in Iceland, when the sun never sets and there is daylight around the clock ... just couldn't resist that reflection :o)

Had to go to work today, on one of the first real summer days this year... it was warm so I opened the window and voila! ... I had this perfect reflection of the very old Höfði house against the brand new structure being built across the road... couldn't pass that up ;o)
