Life changing.....

Three years and four months back this heart-braking young beautiful boy changed our lives :o)

A few months ago we found out he is on the Autism spectrum.... Well, for weeks I did not sleep or eat!! I tried to convince the doctors they were wrong by calling them, showing them my son and EVERY other possible thing I could think of!!

Finally I got to terms with it... I read 16 books about Autism and how to deal with "it" - read everything I possible could find on the internet.....

Now - after this time has passed I can smile when I think back... (have called the doctors and apologized for this strange behavior which obviously they are used to :)

I finally saw Alexander again as "he is" - a perfect little boy that needs different things then his brothers... BUT OMG how much his small steps makes us happy...!

We did change many things in his/our lives - what we eat, how we look at things, how we talk to him....... hm... almost everything.... but things are getting back to normal, except what we eat...

Conclusion..... Difficult times make you look at life from a different "angle" and make you learn to appreciate things that maybe you took as granted before....

Alexander has taught me soooo many things - and I absolutely love him with all of my heart... to me this little guy is PERFECT...!

(his autism makes it hard for him to be around new things and people... he does not speak as he should but slowly he is learning. He does not accept people until he is very used to them BUT... he understands far more then he should, draws far better then he should for his age... knows all the letters AND makes us smile all the time because of his GREAT sense of humor!!!))

Trying out my macro lens - have not been using it for other than taking pics of my boys until I went with my friend for couple of hours to photograph some flowers last month.... Absolutely loved this macro-experience although I will probably be taking baby steps in that area... Don´t have much time to do anything but school projects these days :o)

That is, winter days with snow and aurora lights.... Actually can´t wait... Nothing as refreshing as going out on a night like this was - breathing, enjoying life and taking pictures....!!!

I used this picture as the invitation for an exhibition that I opened today in an beautiful art gallery!! The day was great and so many great people showed up so now I am happy and rather tired :o) Sold 4 pictures on the first day - jehey...

Started my new school a few days ago so I am ready for the winter to arrive ;o)

This picture was taken around 2 years ago during winter time... At the moment I can´t wait for the snow to come so we can go skying and well just playing in the snow!!! :O)

Hvítserkur is the name of this powerful rock!

We took a "little" trip the day before yesterday to visit this magnificent place.

I would have preferred a little more color in the sky but will just have to go there again soon... Maybe next time we´ll have some aurora :o)

From a beautiful wedding I shot this summer - I personally love this shot :o)

This great couple got wedded outside and it was absolutely perfect in every way! The heat was around 20°c - light wind (kept the flies away) and the sun was shining with a little clouds cluttering up in the afternoon SO ideal for shooting pictures also.... :o)

I know it´s not a word but they are so so so eh - cute and soft and beautiful :o)

We almost took one home with us :o) Actually these are our dog´s siblings so to speak and she would love the company BUT we decided to wait a little, she is only 1 years old :o)

Well the shadows are the smallest portion of this picture but they bother me the most :o)
Should have gone there a little later tonight to get rid of them but had my kids with me AND the dog AND it was very windy out there so... this is the outcome :o)

The summer is over and now we have fall which is a great time here also.. This summer has been busy traveling with my family and friends and taking "that" kind of pictures and in between some weddings and familygatherings which can be so much fun.

Yesterday was an inspiration day as our group went on a great trip to eat..(LOL just ask them!!)..! BUT we squeezed in some picture taking moments also ;o) Will put it in tomorrow as I am almost a sleap on my computer desk lol.....

Without teeth WITH words!!!

This was taken after midnight last weekend on a small trip we took.... After 3 hours of fishing, running around (the 2 smaller ones) they finally got those 2 minutes a part and they tried to convince me and the rest of us that these actually are huge fishes LOL :o)

This summer we have had beautiful weather here in Iceland - thank God :o)

My time has been spent outside with my boys, time WELL spent :o)

We took a trip last week which ended in Þingvallavatn were we went fishing which is my boys favorite activity these days!!!
