Had today the golden opportunity to take part in a visit to the bell tower of the Cathedral of Turku organized by a local photography association. That we were blessed with sunshine was just icing on the cake :)

Wie schon im letzten Jahr, so habe ich auch in diesem Jahr für den 1. Januar ein Hammerbild für Euch ausgesucht. Das Bild entstand auf der Brockenspirale, ca 800 Meter vor dem Brockenbahnhof.

Went on Saturday to Halikko, Finland to meet up with Roomeri (his flickr page). The weather wasn't too nice, it didn't rain much in any case.

Got to try out his 70-300 VR and Tokina 12-24 lenses while he tried my 70-200. This one is shot from the top of the water tower of Halikko which also double as a prominent local landmark.

EDIT: as Roomeri pointed out, this is not the granary of the Wiurila Manor but rather part of Vuorentaka Manor.
