So, I had tickets to one of the Diana Krall concerts, which actually was excellent, and we stayed for a few days in Paris.

Recommended by Perry (merci!) we went to Ohlala!. Since it is an invaded restaurant, it seemed to be the perfect venue for a late supper and a 52.

The restaurant has this really cosy atmosphere, with Club Chairs, couches, velours (velvet), wood, leather, and colorful wall designs. Taking the table with the club chairs, we really had to get used to the fact of being seated low, while the diner table is at diner table height. But after a while we realised that having a course takes 10 minutes, while waiting (and chatting and sitting) takes more than 10 minutes - justifying the club chairs. Which were comfy too! The food also was a great treat, and we were lucky to have a discount that evening (a 3-course at 25€ is not that expensive). And dining with a view on PA_XXX was a real treat.
Staff is helpful, polite and all in all it has been a great experience. Apparently they also have a sous-sol (basement) which can be hired for events AFTER having dinner, if you have a party of so. To me, it all started off very late, guests came in around 2130, and at 2300 it was busy. Not crowded at all, but busy enough to not have that eerie feeling ("is it us or is this place really that empty")

If you happen to be in Paris, and you have no clue where to go for dinner:

OHLALA !
4, Rue Rampon
5011 PARIS

What's the meaning of life.

I have no idea. To some it's making other people's lives miserable, to others it's the complete opposite. It's strange though, that a lot of scientific research has been done on the actual reason for us being here on earth; Discovery Channel, NGC, Times and so on - they all had their items on. Yet still, I couldn't be bothered much.

Me being right here and right now where I am, that's what's important to me, I know that one day I'll be gone, and till that day comes I really want to enjoy life to the fullest.

As a little Stewie I used to run away fast and unexpected - much to everyone's pleasure, but even more to my granny's dismay.

To halt me she simply yelled "Onweer!" (Thunderstorm!) and I'd be standing still as if someone yanked my ear to stop me abruptly.

This caused me not liking this wonderful and natural phenomenon - I didn't like the flash, and most certainly hated the thunderblast coming after it. I had been afraid of thunderstorms for about 35/36 years, but the big turningpoint was last year.

During a late afternoon/early evening's thunderstorm, the sunny afternoon was smuthered in the ruff by an upcoming thunderstorm. I could literally see the clouds moving in - a spectacular sight it was!

While everything became slightly darker, I stood in front of my window, shouting at my neighbour (at the opposite side of the street) that he really should get down from that roof as a thundestorm was coming up. He shouted back at me: but look at that, how could you be afraid of something as beautiful as that?

I peeked outside and ... wow.

Simply wow.

Nature showed all of her glorious and devastating powers, flashing and rumbling she came.

I felt comfortable. Thunderstorms are beautiful. So is the lightning. And the rumble that comes afterwards.

The thunderstorm itself lasted for about 45 minutes - but I was amazed. Looked outside, trying to chase lightning across the sky. Found them. Cherished them. Loved them.

And that's how my fear of thunderstorms ended. I still don't like being on a bike or walking outside while being surprised by an unexpected thunderstorm.

But right now I'm fine. And I'm sooo happy with this particular shot!

Goodnight everyone, sleep tight!
