Not a terrible amount of difference between this and a single long exposure, but I wanted a certain DoF and couldn't lower the aperture enough for a better exposure range for the 3 shots.

Variegated Fairy-wren - Malurus lamberti

There was this male, a juvenile of the same variety, an adult red-backed wren, 4 or 5 females like this, 2 females with blue tails, and a pigeon all in the same bush.

I was sitting in grass taller than me just enjoying their interactions, so the grass in the way isn't annoying at all :) This is, to me, the typical wren pose - hanging on the side of a stalk of grass, tail up. Awesome. I'll get a perfect shot of this one day, probably after the purchase of a 2x teleconverter :)

We've heard this guy before quite a bit and have never been able to track it down. I heard it out my window on the way home and came back with the dog and camera trying to find it. An hour later, Pete drove past and saw me and stopped and we both looked. Another half hour of searching, and we FOUND IT! There were probably 30 out calling, but when you walked near them they hid. It was the most difficult frog we've had to find yet - I was very happy to find one and photograph it though :D Yay! I think it's from the Crinia family of frogs. It was about the size of your index fingernail.

COOL BANANAS!

(Also, I airbrushed all of the flash hotspots on the frog to make it easier on the eye. They were very distracting, and impossible to avoid)
