Well I hope not all days will do that to us, but this morning yesss, I have decided to create that one special group I always meant to originate: Berliner Kiezblicke (Berlin Neighbourhood Glimpses).

It will be devoted to the task of documenting and capturing the character very "sui generis" of those old and still authentic quarters and most of all of the people and their life and doings, all the while these quarters too are changing way too quickly.

Outrageously creative Bigoode and yours truly have come up with the idea of a sort of photo collaboration with ZERO COMPETITIVE CHARACTER in response to newest tendencies in this still lovely realm.

Imagine, this would be your last day of existence, you’d know about it to be your last one and you had the chance to publish one very last image of yours, you’d like people to see to remember you. Which one would it be and why?!

Anything is allowed except for genital parts, heck, we already know those and don’t want to be bothered in our very last night :D:D:D

those who know me from flickr are well acquainted with one of my main quests: reflecting upon time in all its implications. Trying to show those in photographs or graphics has been an addiction of mine for a long time. So another dark, cloudy and cold "summer sunday" is upon us! First I felt totally depressed trying to indulge in dark reverie and material, but then I said to myself: HECK NO!! Instead I fight the mood with positive fun :)

So I have decided to indulge in pleasures, one might only get once in a lifetime ... a "chocolate bath" for the spirit ;)

A contact of mine here at Ipernity inspired me in my choice for today's "pseudo-group" theme: CRANES and CRANESCAPES

There is a strong and strange appeal to them, isn't there?! My city (Berlin) has had more than its fair share of them since 1990 and reunification, opening space to an unpreceded craze of construction and reconstruction. But despite all the doubts and criticism I harbour in view of that craze, I still LOVE cranes and their strange character.
