Deezer - have I missed something?

Roomeri has added a post:

I just noticed that most of the songs I've added to (some) photos do not play more than several seconds or so... It's not an issue as such, because I do not do that that kind of "photo with corresponding music or mood" -thingy that often. But in some occations, I do do that (do-do, yeah, right). Kinda experimental thingy for me... Anyway - as the title says, it has been Deezer I've used with photos and ipernity.

When embedded that deezer player-thingy with a song to a photo, everything worked fine - but nowadays songs are stopped after a while... I'm sure the answer can be found somewhere in Deezer, but I'm writing this here just 'cause I'm a bit lazy...

Does it have something to do with rights or have something been changed somewhere? Or is it just me? Anybody?

As an example, this one worked fine for ages, but not anymore...

Loads of those... not really. Not that much though - I think, and nevertheless - not anymore. I do not post any old ones here anymore. What does the mean? Nothing really. I just made a promise to myself. I've got rid of my accounts in DA and in flickr, and those photos are history for me. Why? Those were not that great at the first phase, and I'm not that interested on anime, magna, or US politics, so I did not see any reason to stay there...

So here I am. Cope with that. Sorry (the first and probably last time you'll...) Anyway. No more old posts. That's a promise. A kind of anyway...

I've been uploading some older stuff here. Mainly because of my blog. It is becoming more and more evident, that I'm slowly but surely shifting away from "The Dark Site". May the force be with...

And another note: I just realized, that bigger versions of my photos weren't avaible for my contacts. That's just because of one word in the front page. Sorry about that, bigger ones should be available now.

Doesn't make any difference to me. A big group or a small one. Doesn't make any difference to me.

I like groups. It's nice to browse around photos within certain theme or style, and learn from those. See the different approaches on same subject or theme.

I do not like groups that are not moderated or where quantity is considered something to be advertised and quality is not maintained at all. I do not like "everything goes" or "no limits" -groups. I simply prefer quality over quantity - at least as far as photos are concerned. I do understand, that quality, likes or dislikes are subjects, that varies from person to person, but nevertheless...

I do not like censorship. But I think a healthy amount of self-censorship would not hurt anybody. Quite often it'll have the opposite effect. I think.

Posting a photo to a group for wider audience is a way to make it more visible to people outside your network. Excellent. Posting tens of shots of the same subject to one group tells more about the individual posting those photos, than those photos or the subject.

Oh well... Maybe it's just me. Maybe I should have used some self-censorship, and choose not to post this whining at all. But at least I did not send this anywhere.

Anyway - A some time ago I bought a new camera. Just because I wanted one. Wanted - not needed. I did not even tried to reason why - I just went and bought one.

Since that, I've tried to learn the differences between the old one I had (and still have), and the new one. That have been a bigger struggle than I thought. After a certain technological level, it's surprisingly hard to make a step ahead - it seems. For the past few months, I've used that new camera in parallel to my old one, which is more familiar to me. And the results or reasons are way too obvious to me. The photos I've taken with the old camera kicks ass compared to the ones I've taken with the new one. I think it's because of the equipment - even though I've heard some rumours about similar cases with some other amateur photographers... It must be 'cause of the equipment - not because of the fact, the the photographer (that being me) do not know what the hell he's doing... I just hope I'll learn the characteristics of the new toy before my snapshot-season ends.

I do have photos somewhere else as well, and some other stuff somewhere else. I joined ipernity to see, if it's useful for me and the occational need I have for sharing stuff. So - for now - I'm more or less just exploring and browsing around.
