All postings to this group must be original content taken by the poster. Any content that you did not take yourself will not be allowed unless you have permission by the original owner and give credit in the notes.

This is not just the policy of this group but also part of Ipernity's Terms of Service to all members of Ipernity.

From TOS:
3.4f Upload, post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any Content that infringes any
patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of
any party.

6.2 Be reminded that both the illicit exchange of protected works and
recordings, and their pirating seriously damage the artistic work. You also
acknowledge that the non-respect of laws in force, notably those protecting the
intellectual and artistic property, could lead to prosecutions and sentences.

It is the policy of this group to enforce these guidelines. Any content that you do not specifically have the right to copy and/or reproduce will be removed without notice.

Basically, IF YOU DID NOT TAKE IT, DON'T POST IT HERE

While it is this groups intent not to allow postings that do not belong the poster, it is practically very difficult to tell if a poster was the owner of the image or not. Sometimes it is very easy to tell with a "photo by" still on a image. Sometimes you may recognize the image from having seen it in another group by a different member or from a different photo sharing site.

If you see any image posted here that belong to someone other than the poster, please notify this groups admins and that image will be removed. Repeat violators of this policy will be removed from the group.

I like how this group has grown and the quality of the postings is fantastic. But, being a typical American I only speak English (I learned a little Spanish in High School). I would like some help from some member(s) who speaks either French and/or German. I envy you Europeans who speak so many different languages.

I need someone who can help me write the rules in multiple languages. I want to make sure someone who joins knows what they are getting into. We can only feel free to post anything we want if rules make it clear ANYTHING can be posted. I worry that some members may not clearly understand the rules. Also, some people I've invited may have not understood what I was requesting. I would like to make an invite in multiple languages too.

The more people that join, the more viewers of your work.

If anyone wants to help, please send me a message and I will promote you to a moderator.

While you are here, take a few minutes and view some others members photos in full frame. One of the main reasons to post to a group is to expose your images to more viewers. Take time to view a few images each time you stop by.

Many excellent images don't give it's true impact as a thumbnail. So much detail and beauty can only be seen at it's original size.

Give our fellow posters the respect their images deserve. You will not be disappointed!

This group is on the cutting edge of the digital photo image revolution. Express your heart and be not afraid to post anything that YOU like. Some of the images will shock you, others will challenge your imagination. Here you can feel free to post what ever YOU want without censorship.

Since this is a new group just getting started I am leaving the limits open. You post as many images as you like, for the time being.

Once the group expands to a level that has new images on a daily basis I will limit the posts to a lower number in order to provide more time for posts to be viewed.

Welcome to Photo Potourri.

This group is about posting what you like the most about your own work. Feel free to make discussions about your work and why you think it is good or bad.

What we don't want is a group where every photo is the same kind or type as the last one. When a viewer comes to this group and runs the slideshow, I want them to see something different in every image. The members that post to this group don't want to bore viewers with same type of photo image after image.

The photos can be beautiful or ugly, happy or sad, vivid or subtle, sharp vocus or blurry. Variety is the spice of life and so shall it be here at Photo Potourri. Challenge our vision and stimulate our thoughts with your posts.

The discussion board is open to ask questions for those who want to discuss their work and techniques.
