Kriterien für Straßenfotografie

Liebe Kolleginen und Kollegen,

Jeden Tag werden 10 bis 30 Bilder für diese Gruppe vorgeschlagen. Leider haben (meines Erachtens) die meisten davon wenig mit Straßenfotografie zu tun. In der deutschen Wikipedia fand ich diese Kriterien, die ich ziemlich gut finde.

Kriterien für Straßenfotografie

* Es werden Menschen in einer Außenszene oder -Situation gezeigt.

* Diese Situation ist nicht gestellt, sondern hat sich im Augenblick der Ablichtung spontan ergeben; sie war nicht geplant, wenngleich eventuell zu erwarten. Die Situation ist also stets auch authentisch und hat dokumentarischen Charakter. Die Ästhetik sollte in Abgrenzung zum Bildjournalismus nicht bloß dokumentarischer Art sein, sondern in erkennbar künstlerischer Form gestaltet sein.

* Die abgelichteten Menschen werden nicht als Porträt gestaltet und sind nicht als Privatpersonen gemeint, sondern als anonyme Figuren einer allgemeinen menschlichen Situation; daher zeigt ein Straßenfotografie nicht eine dem Fotografen bekannte Person in einer Pose, auch nicht eine öffentlich bekannte Person, sondern immer eine menschliche Grundsituation des Alltags auf der „Straße“, wobei „Straße“ nicht wörtlich zu nehmen ist, sondern als Synonym für öffentliche Räume. Die abgelichteten Personen sind stets nur die Protagonisten der eigentlich gemeinten menschlichen Situation.

* Eine gutes Straßenfotografie zeigt eine erkennbare Grundsituation menschlicher Begegnung, wobei die Protagonisten zueinander sowie zu Strukturmerkmalen der Umgebung in einer ästhetisch harmonischen Beziehung zueinander stehen, sich also nicht gegenseitig nivellieren, sondern gemeinsam diese Grundsituation spontan und nicht geplant darstellen.

* Eine gute Straßenfotografie zeigt eine Situation des Augenblicks, die zwar genau so nicht wieder erscheinen wird, wenngleich der Charakter dieser Situation über den Moment hinausweisen und die Idee dieser einmaligen Erscheinung reflektieren sollte.

* Eine Straßenfotografie ist stets das Produkt von Zufall und blitzschneller Erfassung des besonderen Moments durch den Fotografen; eine Straßenfotografie ist eher eine Entdeckung als eine Schöpfung des Fotografen. Der Straßenfotograf schafft nicht etwas, was es ohne ihn nicht gegeben hätte, er macht es nur sichtbar, allerdings auf eine schöpferische Art; es ermöglicht ihm ein Aufgehen in seiner durch ihn entdeckten Umwelt.

sagtmal, wie sieht in Deutschland eigentlich die rechtliche Situation aus? Ich finde es irgendwie etwas befremdlich, einzelne Personen zum einen ohne ihr Wissen zu fotografieren und dann diese Fotos zum anderen auch noch zu veröffentlichen?!
Stichwort Urheberrecht, Stichwort Persönlichkeitsrecht oder ganz einfach § 22 KUG. Mit Art. 2 Abs. 1 Grundgesetz will ich ja gar nicht erst kommen. ;)

Ich finde in diesem Zusammanhang den geränderten Gruppennamen ziemlich ungünstig, bis vor kurzem hiess die Gruppe noch "Strassenfotografie", nun wurde daraus aber "Heimliche Strassenfotografie", was schon vom Titel her impliziert, dass man sich strafbar machen soll, um hier Fotos einstellen zu können?! Das kann es ja irgendwie nicht sein.

Street photography, My little show

After one year of taking photos, I discovered what type photos I almost take, "STREET PHOTOGRAPHY", I just love to make unique shots, where the people are the main subject, sometimes with little irony.

Anyway I am not going to make it so long and I will show you some of my works and I hope that you will like it.

Please feel free to write your comments, suggestions or critiques, it's really important for me to know what the others say about my photos, because in general I am beginner on photography.

Most of my shots are taken with Leica M6 and Summicron M f:2 35mm, I love to use high speed films, like Ilford HP5+ and Kodak TRI-X 400. I use both colour and b&w films, but I prefer the black and white.

The famous Kiss by the Hotel de Ville by Robert Doisneau 1950.

What is it about this photograph that makes it a classic?

I find this sort of question really hard to answer. It captures a candid care free passionate moment amongst a grey Paris back drop with everyone else just going about their everyday business.

To me it is the classic street photograph, and I marvel at Doisneau's ability to capture this moment.

Perhaps someone has a better view as to what makes this photograph.

Alternatively if you have your own favourite why note post it and tell us why you think it is special

Pool Content - Input please

Hello all,

Thank you to everyone who has had time to contribute to and visit the pool. The first week of this group's pool has been great - we have lots of contributions.

In another discussion I asked what people want to see in this pool - essentially what says and is 'street photography' to them. The content is straying a bit from the classic definitions of street photography which typically involves people in the image.

I'd like input from members rather than this being my call alone (this is a public group). In the absence of input it's difficult for me and others to administer a public pool. It's time to say what you enjoy seeing here.

I started this group because I've seen many fine examples of street photography here on ipernity and thought it would be nice to see more.

If you have ideas about the description of this group, please make them.

I will make an effort to do a translation into French and German but voluteers are welcome to share them for these and other languages : )
