The path down starts at the bottom of the photo, left hand corner and it's not for the faint hearted! So it's mercifully free of the summer hordes! Although surfers like it here and can swamp the place if the conditions suit them.

Typical floral clifftop - Northcliffs, Cornwall.
This stretch of clifftop has long since fallen away into the deep blue and the coast path goes some considerable way inland now.

I know it's hard to see any water here but in fact everything you see is covered by seawater; the light was so perfect and the air so still that you wouldn't know it was there!

As some of you know, I'm in Cornwall looking after my parents who are frail and getting on a bit. I found this old photo which was grainy and of poor quality to begin with but I just liked it so I took a photo of the photo and here it is! He was, by the way, a wine merchant of some standing and renown in his day!
I would love to know what the wine was that was giving so much pleasure but, alas .. !
... Add on ... my dad thinks it was at a wine tasting he put on once a month at the local community centre and where I helped out when I could. In Wallington south London near his shop 'The Wine House' . He thinks it might have been a sherry tasting and I can recall it and I think he's right, and the year was 1988.

Little Busveal Farm, with thatched roof (common at one time - much rarer now). I went for a walk past this farm today but couldn't take a shot for technical reasons (my phone-camera is playing up.) But I thought I'd taken a shot some years back and found it.
