Im Museum wird Friedensreich Hundertwasser mit einer umfangreichen Ausstellung seines graphischen Werkes und Dokumentationen zu ausgewählten Architekturprojekten geehrt.

Das KunstHausAbensberg wurde nach Plänen von Peter Pelikan in der Zeit von 2011 bis 2014 erbaut. Der Wiener Architekt realisierte gemeinsam mit Hundertwasser zahlreiche internationale Bauprojekte. Im KunstHausAbensberg wird auch sein Schaffen und seine planende und ausführende Rolle in der Realisierung von Hundertwassers Architekturprojekten gewürdigt.

Auf dem Betriebsgelände der Brauerei ließ der Geschäftsführer Leonhard Salleck 2009 den von Friedensreich Hundertwasser geplanten Kuchlbauer-Turm errichten. (PiP 1 klickbar) Weitere Teile der Brauerei sind mit der typischen Kachelkunst Hundertwassers verziert. (PiP 2)

➽ Im Keller der Brauerei zum Kuchlbauer wird eine Kopie des Abendmahls von Leonardo da Vinci in Originalgröße ausgestellt. Hierzu veröffentlichte der Brauereichef Leonhard Salleck das Buch "Der Schlüssel zu Leonardo da Vincis Abendmahl".
Er will in Da Vincis Gemälde Aussagen entdeckt haben, die er als Sensation zum Verständnis des Bildes wertete. Dies wird aber von Wissenschaftlern bislang geflissentlich ignoriert!

He wants to have discovered in Da Vinci's painting statements, which he evaluated as a sensation to understand the image. This has been studiously ignored by scientists so far!

➽ Das Goliathhaus in der Altstadt von Regensburg ist eine zinnengekrönte ehemalige Patrizierburg. Das frühgotische Gebäude mit gotischen Fensterarkaden war seit 1290 Stammsitz der Patrizierfamilie Thundorfer.
Das monumentale Wandgemälde, entstanden 1573 durch Melchior Bocksberger, stellt die Szene „David gegen Goliath“ dar. Goliath symbolisiert darin den hochmütigen Kaufmann, der gegen den redlichen Kaufmann (= David) verliert.

➽The Goliathhaus ( Goliath house) in the old town of Regensburg is a crenellated former patrician castle. The early Gothic building with gothic window arcades was since 1290 the ancestral seat of the patrician family Thundorfer.
The monumental mural, created in 1573 by Melchior Bocksberger, depicts the scene "David against Goliath". In it Goliath symbolizes the haughty merchant who loses against the honest merchant (= David).

➽ In der Gedenkstätte Walhalla in Donaustauf im bayerischen Landkreis Regensburg werden – ursprünglich auf Veranlassung des bayerischen Königs Ludwig I. – seit 1842 bedeutende Persönlichkeiten „teutscher Zunge“ mit Marmorbüsten und Gedenktafeln geehrt. Benannt ist sie nach Walhall, der Halle der Gefallenen in der nordischen Mythologie. Der Architekt war Leo von Klenze. (siehe auch PiPs)

Regensburg - Steinerne Brücke - Stone Bridge

➽ Die Steinerne Brücke ist neben dem Dom das bedeutendste Wahrzeichen der Stadt Regensburg. Mit dem Baubeginn 1135 ist sie die älteste erhaltene Brücke Deutschlands und gilt als ein Meisterwerk mittelalterlicher Baukunst.
Seit 2010 wird die Brücke saniert. Die Sanierung sollte ursprünglich Ende 2014 abgeschlossen sein; inzwischen geht die Stadt von einer Fertigstellung im Jahr 2018 aus. Sie wurde am 10. Juni 2018 im Rahmen des UNESCO Welterbetags eröffnet.

Hier eine Aufnahme aus 2012, die Sanierungsarbeiten waren im hinteren, hier nicht sichtbaren Teil, im Gange. In den PiPs zwei neue Aufnahmen und noch eine aus 2012 zum Vergleich.

➽ The Stone Bridge is next to the Cathedral the most important landmark of the city of Regensburg. With the start of construction in 1135, it is the oldest surviving bridge in Germany and is considered a masterpiece of medieval architecture.
Since 2010, the bridge is being redeveloped. The redevelopment was originally scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014. Meanwhile, the city expects completion in 2018. It was opened on June 10, 2018 as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Day.

Here a shot from 2012, the renovation work was in progress in the back part, not visible here. In the PiPs two new shots and one more from 2012 for comparison.
