Taken on our 2007 cruise in Alaska. This is just one sight in College Fjord. The glaciers and mountains are quite spectacular.

We later discovered that most of the time, the sun does not shine here, and the fjord is often shrouded in fog and mist.

Every time we've visited Hong Kong, the night views have been spectacular. In the old days, it was incandescent bulbs, then neon. Now, vast amounts of LED's (and lasers) light up the night sky.

This is an example of the very good high ISO capability of the Panasonic GX85.

Our cruise ship was tied up to a nice new dock system. This is a view that includes the transportation carts, as well as a rest area for passengers. On the right are the lifeboats for the ship.

Lots of pink. As was helpfully pointed out, they start greyish and turn pink as a result of their diet.

I was fascinated by the flamingos feeding in the sale marshes. As pointed out by another Ipernity member, the reflection of all the PINK is quite impressive.

Taken on our excursion on the Canal du Midi. We are entering the multiple lock "staircase" near Beziers. The overhead is a brick bridge. There is some construction going on in the left side of the image, hence the fence.

Back Porch View (Snow on Sunflowers)

Taken from our back porch, after our first snow of the season. We went from 60+ degreesF, to 20F nearly overnight.

The lovely yellow sunflowers finished their cycle, were covered with birds preparing for their flights south, and now are decorated with snow. Snow was still falling when I took this photo.

Taken during our 1993 cruise along the Thames River. We hired a boat and went from nearly Oxford down to Hampton Court.

It was a lovely spring. We had about half of the days with pouring rain, the other half with beautiful clear skies.

Taken during our 1993 cruise along the Thames River. We hired a boat and went from nearly Oxford down to Hampton Court.

We picked up the boat in Datchet. As we left the boatyard, we saw beautiful grounds on the left. Of course, that turned out to be WIndsor Castle (duh). We saw some folks driving a coach and team along that bank as well (photos not so good, so not posted).

The setting is just lovely.

It was a lovely spring.

Taken when we visited Zuerich in early 1992. We had a Eurrail Pass so could take the boating trip around Lake Zuerich. The sun was just poking through the clouds on this cold February day. I guess we have a goose and some mudhens near the boat dock.

We were passing Alcatraz and Sandi was taking movies. We were just about to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, out towards the Pacific Ocean. The wind was blowing very strongly, and her hair was sideways. It was hard to hold the camera steady. End of a beautiful day in San Francisco.

Interesting waterfall and park.

A month or so ago, we had heavy rains and this scenic falls became a massive torrent. Didn't even try to get near and take any photos.
