Monday 18 May 2026 (1153) – The Park and Ride service in Colchester is worked by Arriva Southern Counties.

In this view taken at the Park and Ride site to the north of the city, 4124 (SN67 WUO), one of the branded Alexander Dennis Enviro200D MMC buses new in September 2017, was seen at the terminal building.

I think the concrete slabs were an afterthought to combat car drivers trying to avoid the exit gates of the car park (or maybe as Ecobird says below, to stop traveller vehicles getting in).

This former dockland area is a popular tourist area featuring marina and water sport activities plus restaurants and other attractions housed in the old warehouse buildings.

Tuesday 14 June 2016 (1429) – Perryman’s Buses of Berwick-upon-Tweed Optare Solo MX07 MTU carries branding for service 477 from Berwick to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Buses cross the tidal causeway to reach the island and so the timetable is quite varied and may be seen via this link:

There was no service 477 today and MX07 MTU was seen turning from Golden Square into Marygate, Berwick when working town service B6. In February 2016 the Perryman business was purchased by West Coast Motors.

The double decker is 5466 (SN15 LPV), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400, which wasn’t working the Oxford to Aylesbury service 280. Today is was well away from that service and working the X60 from Aylesbury.

Thursday 8 September 2016 (1006) – Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200s passing in King Street Mildenhall close to the bus station. Left is Stephensons of Essex 462 (YX11 CTO) working the 0930 service 16 from Bury St. Edmunds to Newmarket which should have departed the bus station at 1000. Right is Coach Services of Thetford SF07 KCE working the 0943 service 201 from Lakenheath which should have arrived at the bus station at 1000. Even if the two buses had both been on time the poor passengers would still not have made a connection. Mildenhall bus station would be perfect as a co-ordinated hub for services going off in three different directions if only the timetables were tailored accordingly. it really is quite atrocious that this is the norm.

Saturday 4 July 2015 (1421) – Metrolink tram set 3020 heads up Drake Street in Rochdale. Between the terminus and a point just beyond Fleece Street the single track section out of the tram station becomes double. The River Roch flows under the town centre beneath the roadway and tramway near the terminus and to have had double track over the river covering would have required significant structural improvements.The red traffic signal is to stop motor traffic whilst the tram swings from the right side of the street to the left side.
