All four wheels and their axles have been re-rusted and painted with primers, undercoat and now the black gloss underframe paint.

Note that the axle journals have been wrapped for protection.

Buffers [4] and shrouds [2] from 1822. After having been de-rusted and coated with red oxide primer, they are about to receive some undercoat.

Hoping to find a casting date / makers on the hubs, but nothing currently visible on this one.
The split spoke wheel and the axle will need some tlc in the painting process.

Almost all the ironwork from 1822 ...
The "W-irons" are rather heavy but seem fit for further service, as do most of the larger components, although some straightening may be needed.
However, most of the "washer strips" and the thin corner plates have been badly rusted and need replacing.
