Don’s Coaches of Dunmow TXI 8756, a unique Jonckheere bodied Dennis Lancet which was new to Young’s Coaches of Rampton in February 1985 registered B135 AAV.

For some reason this entry was parked amongst the commercial vehicle exhibits all on its own. Similarly, a couple of fire engines were placed amongst the buses and coaches!

Lodges Coaches of High Easter EOD 685C, a Duple Bella Vega bodied Bedford SB13 new in June 1965 to Princess Mary Coaches, Bristol.

Note the window bill. As well as being a participant in the rally the coach was on an advertised excursion with paying customers! The company website showed a £30 fare and that the trip was sold out.

Preserved former Southdown Motor Services 583 (GNJ 583N), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR new in May 1975. This was a pre-production Series 3 Bristol VR.

The rear number blinds were an uncommon feature.

Buckland Omnibus Company of Woodbridge, Suffolk TE 7870, a Dennis E chassis new to Accrington Corporation Transport as their number 57 in 1929. Originally it carried a Brush body but this was replaced with a Wyatt body in 1974.

K742 ODL, a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian new to Southern Vectis, Isle of Wight in June 1993 as a covered top vehicle (with semi-coach seating). Converted to open top in December 2003 for ‘Breezer’ services on the island.
