8x10 pinhole paper negative at Foothill Park. I chose this view partly because there were great clouds, to try "live action dodging". Exposed 30 seconds, then the sky was dodged with a black card for 2-1/2 minutes to complete. Not enough--just barely got some clouds at the top! But this negative looks really neat, I was tempted to post the negative instead. These big negatives are fun!

Very foggy at the beach this morning. A very enjoyable WPPD today and was happy to get over to the coast and poke around in the tidepools at low tide. Walking there made me realize the day was a success no matter how the photos come out.
8x10 pinhole paper negative. Still have 3 from this afternoon to develop!

This is "pond 7A" in the Huichica Creek section of the Napa Sonoma Salt Marsh Preserve. This 300 acre evaporation pond was once used to make salt. Now it is part of a wildlife refuge!

Near Bodega Head, A black tee shirt draped over the camera, I guessed level and missed, but I like those clouds. The far distant hills are at Tomales Bay.

The Mammoth rocks along the Sonoma Coast may have been "rubbing rocks" for mammoths. The place has a prehistoric almost timeless feel to it.

I made this simple camera today to get ready for World Pinhole Photography Day on April 24th.

The camera uses a curved plane for 8x11, 7x11 or 6x11 inch photo paper, and has selectable rise ( or fall if you turn the camera upside down ). The camera is just a black foamcore box. The curve is formed by a mat board insert, and the paper snaps into place when loading; no need for tape or worry about paper slipping in a makeshift holder. On the right you can see the pinhole is mounted on a piece of mat board that can slide up or down. When it is all the way down it is centered for 8x11 paper. The pencil arrows mark the highest it can go without the corners of the paper vignetting. The pinhole was made in a piece of aluminum from a drink can, and is about 0.38mm. Hope to use this camera on WPPD.

WxHxD is 9 x 8 x 4.5 inches
