Curious the way this has been painted in two halves. As if half belonged to each house....
Also amazing that I've only recently noticed it as I've lived next door but one for 20+ years!
I always thought these houses were built in the 1890s but as this marker is dated 1883 does this mean the houses must have been here then?

Junction with Chetwynd Rd.

There is such a variety of ages and styles of street sign up this road. One day I'll put together the definitive collection. It's also interesting as this road has two postcodes and is right on the boundary of two boroughs - the lower part of the road is NW5 and the upper part N19; the west is in Camden and the east in Islington.

Edit: Thinking about it - probably St Mary's Islington as there are a lot of SMI boundary markers down the length of this road.
