The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been under heavy criticism in 2015. First her perceived harsh stance on the Greek debt crisis provoked criticism from the left. Her recent policy of opening the German borders and welfare state to anybody in the world who feels a bit bad has resulted in criticism from the right and from people who think that it will result in a (civil) war.
It is not clear from this defaced sign which particular policy of Merkel needs to be stopped.

Work on the canal started in 1933, but it was stopped in 1943. It was left unﬁnished, although there were and are plans to complete the canal.
