The three North Staffordshire Railway carriages that make up the Knotty Heritage Train parked in the sidings at Caversall Road.

They were running a few days before I took this, and will be in service again at the weekend "Gala" ...

NSRs 23, 127 and 61 with MR 348 furthest away from the camera.
NSR 228 and the remains from Rudyard Lake are still awaiting restoration.

The Knotty Heritage train rests at Dilhorne, HL No.2 will shortly 'run round' the train and head off back to Caversall Road. NSRs 61, 127 and 23 - the accessible brake is at the rear.
Before that can happen, I'll need to shepherd myself and the other photographers back onto the platform.

During shunting operations to achieve space to allow NSR23 into the Museum Shed, these four ventured outside - from the left - Bellerophon's smokebox, NSR61, NSR127 and NSR No.2 .

The two coaches (NSR127 is closer to the camera) of the Knotty Heritage Train in September 2015, with their lamp chimneys in place, the bungs rest in rings to stop them sliding around.

Heritage Railway, reporting the move of NSR228 (three compartment First Class, built mid 1870s) from Cheddleton on the Churnet Valley Railway, to Stanegate Restorations in Haltwhistle, for a detailed assessment as to condition, prior to raising funds for the restoration.

The Knotty Heritage Train - pulled by "Bellerophon" sets off from Caversall Road. This special working was carrying the members of the Carriage Restorers Convention, who were hosted by The Foxfield Railway at their 2015 get-together.
