Jetzt ist alles wieder geschlossen, die Tische zusammen geschoben, die Zukunft ungewiss...
Ich drücke den Gastronomen und allen, die dieser neue Lockdown besonders trifft, die Daumen, dass sie auch diesmal durchhalten - und an alle:

➽ Die Synagoge Kriegshaber (PIP) ist die älteste erhaltene Synagoge in Bayerisch-Schwaben. Sie bildete fast dreihundert Jahre lang das Zentrum der jüdischen Gemeinde in Kriegshaber, einem ehemals eigenständigen Ort vor den Toren der freien Reichsstadt, heute ein Stadtteil Augsburgs.
Sie ersetzte einen bis dahin genutzten kleineren Betsaal und ist 1675 erstmals erwähnt.
Während der Novemberpogrome 1938 blieb die Synagoge nahezu unversehrt und diente daher die nächsten Jahre als Gemeindezentrum der Juden in Augsburg, da die Synagoge in der Stadtmitte unbenutzbar geworden war.
Nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges wurde die Synagoge zweckentfremdet und als Lagerhalle und Betsaal für andere Glaubensrichtungen genutzt. 1955 erwarb die Stadt Augsburg das Gebäude. Es stand daraufhin lange Zeit leer und wurde dem Verfall überlassen, da für eine erneute Nutzung als Bethaus keine finanziellen Mittel gewährt wurden.
Im Jahr 2011 begannen die zum Teil sehr aufwendigen Sanierungsarbeiten. Nach drei Jahren Bauzeit wurde die ehemalige Synagoge am 18. Mai 2014 als Dependance des Jüdischen Kulturmuseums Augsburg Schwaben offiziell eröffnet. Quelle: Wikipedia

➽ The Synagogue Kriegshaber (PIP) is the oldest surviving synagogue in Bavarian Swabia. For almost three hundred years it was the center of the Jewish community in Kriegshaber, a formerly independent village at the gates of the free imperial city, today a district of Augsburg.
It replaced a previously used smaller prayer hall and is first mentioned in 1675.
During the November pogroms of 1938, the synagogue remained almost intact and therefore served as the community center of the Jews in Augsburg for the next few years, as the synagogue in the city center had become unusable.
After the end of the Second World War, the synagogue was misused as a warehouse and prayer hall for other faiths. In 1955, the city of Augsburg acquired the building. It stood empty for a long time and was left to decay, as for a renewed use as a prayer house no financial resources were granted.
In 2011, the sometimes very complex renovation work began. After three years of construction, the former synagogue was officially opened on 18 May 2014 as a branch of the Jewish Museum Augsburg Schwaben. Source: Wikipedia

➽ Obwohl der heutige Stadtteil Oberhausen von den Alemannen im 8. oder 9. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde, befand sich an dieser Stelle bereits um 15 v. Chr. ein römisches Militärlager. Die erste urkundliche Erwähnung fand im Jahr 1150 statt. Aufgrund seiner Nähe zur Augsburger Innenstadt wurde das Dorf Oberhausen im Mittelalter häufig von Feinden überfallen.

Mit den Anfängen der Industrialisierung im 19. Jahrhundert wandelte sich Oberhausen in einen Industriearbeitervorort. Durch die hohen Bau- und Unterhaltskosten der neuen öffentlichen Gebäude und der Kanalisation sah sich der Markt Oberhausen gezwungen seine Selbstständigkeit aufzugeben. Am 1. Januar 1911 wurde Oberhausen in die Stadt Augsburg eingegliedert.

Im Vergleich zu den anderen Augsburger Stadtteilen besitzt Oberhausen heute den größten Anteil an Bürgern mit Migrationshintergrund. Bezogen auf die kleinteiligeren Stadtbezirke ist der Anteil am zweithöchsten. Die verbreitete Meinung, Oberhausen besitze weitgehend türkischstämmige Bürger, kann durch die Einwohnerstatistik widerlegt werden. Vielmehr ist dieser Stadtteil multikulturell geprägt.
