➽ Der Eisenberg ist eine lange, gerade, steinerne und ziemlich steile Treppe vom Rathausplatz in die Altstadt hinunter. Es ist eine der längsten Treppen in Augsburg. Seinen Namen hat er wahrscheinlich von dem Gefängnis bekommen, das sich rund 400 Jahre lang im Keller des Rathauses befand. Damals wurden Verbrecher "in Eisen" gelegt inhaftiert!

➽ The "Eisenberg" (Iron hill) is a long, straight, stony and rather steep staircase which leads from the Town Hall Square down to the old town. It's one of the longest stairs in Augsburg. The name it gets probably from the prison, which was located approximately 400 years in the basement of the town hall. Back then the criminals were arrested "in iron"!

➽ Die Getreidegasse befindet sich in der Altstadt und ist Salzburgs wohl berühmteste, historische Gasse. Sie beherbergt, unter anderem, das Geburtshaus von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (PiP 1). Die hohen schmalen Häuserreihen mit zahlreichen schmiedeeisernen Zunftzeichen über den alten Verkaufsläden vermitteln, samt den vielgestaltigen Durchgangshäusern und Innenhöfen, ein in sich geschlossenes Bild einer mittelalterlich geprägten Straße, die auch an Regentagen gut besucht ist (eigene Anmerkung)! ➽ The Getreidegasse (Grain Lane) is located in the Old Town and it's the most famous historic street of Salzburg. It houses, among others, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (PiP 1). The tall, narrow rows of houses with numerous wrought iron guild signs over the old retail stores convey, together with the multifarious passage houses and courtyards, a self contained image of a medieval-themed street, which is well attended even on rainy days (own note)! ➽ Das Gebäude wurde 1654 unter Fürsterzbischof Guidobald von Thun und Hohenstein für die Salinenverwaltung errichtet. Heute beherbergt es das Keltenmuseum Hallein.
Das PiP zeigt ein keltisches Doppelgrab (410-370 v.Chr.) mit Helm und Schild
