Circa 2000 the Leichtenstein Government created a bus operating authority and all the country's bus services passed to the new authority, Leichtenstein Bus Anstalt. The company runs a few school related contracts on behalf of LBA (Liechtenstein Bus Anstalt) although, as far as I am aware, all the vehicles they employ carry their own livery rather than the neon yellow LBA bus livery. This photograph was taken from the centre doorway of FL 7586, on which we were bound for Planken. The temporary bus station at Schaan is in use whilst the new bus interchange is constructed. LBA 28 had worked the 1033 service 12 from Buchs, also in Switzerland. We had travelled on it from Vaduz (1050) and were now to take a train to Luzern. The bus carries an advertisement for an art exhibition of the work by Soviet artist Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) held at the Kunstmuseum (whose web-site states “is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century”. A new bus station is under construction on the land behind. Just above the front of the bus the railway station can be seen. This is the closest railway station to Vaduz and is on the railway line which links Buchs (Switzerland) and Feldkirch (Austria).
