Weil man diesen Pilz im Winterhalbjahr finden kann, bezeichnet man diesen frostresistenten Pilz auch als "Winterpilz", sein Artname ist Gemeiner Samtfußrübling (Flammulina velutipes).
Man findet ihn an Baumstümpfen (siehe Foto) und abgefallenen Ästen, aber auch an Stämmen von lebenden Bäumen.

As this mushroom is found in the winter months, this frost-resistant mushroom is also known as the "winter mushroom" and its species name is Velvet foot Fungus (Flammulina velutipes).
It can be found on tree stumps (see photo) and fallen branches, but also on the trunks of living trees.

Ich war schon ziemlich erstaunt, dass ich jetzt zur Winterszeit einen mir unbekannten Lamellenpilze fand, dem ich im Herbst schon mal begegnet bin. Offensichtlich ist der Winter 22/23 relativ mild und feucht, so dass viele Sommer-Herbst-Pilze Fruchtkörper bilden können.
Kennt jemand diesen Pilz?

I was quite surprised to find a unknown cap mushroom now at winter time, which I have already seen in autumn. Obviously, the winter of 22/23 is relatively mild and humid, so that many mushrooms can form fruiting bodies.
Does anyone know this mushroom?

Diese winzigen Pilze habe ich heute bei einem Waldspaziergang auf einem mit Moos überzogenen Baumstumpf entdeckt. Es sind wahrscheinlich (?) Keulenpilze aus der Gattung Clavulina, die bis in den Dezember gerne auf Baumstümpfen wachsen. Die Höhe beträgt ca. 2 cm. Die hell gefärbten Pilzchen sollen essbar sein.

Today I discovered these tiny mushrooms on a walk through the forest on a moss-covered tree stump.These are probably (?) members of the genus Clavulina, who like to grow up to December in mixed forests. The height is about 2 cm. The light colored fungi are regarded to be edible (?).

Ein weiteres kleines Winterpilzchen (1 cm hoch), gefunden im Steigerwald.

Der Fruchtkörper besteht aus gekröseartigen, lappig gewundenen Elementen von weichlich-gelatinöser Eigenschaft, Gesamtbreite 1-5 cm. Der Goldgelbe Zitterling lebt auf Totholz (abgefallenen toten Zweigen) und lebt hier von holzzersetzenden Pilzen (er ist also ein Pilzparasit!). Er ist ungenießbar.

Für die Pilze waren die Wachstumsbedingungen im Winter 2016 sehr günstig, denn die Temperaturen waren bis jetzt relativ hoch und es war ausreichend feucht. Im Bild zu sehen ist ein Birkenstamm, der von verschiedenen Baumpilzen und Mikroorganismen zersetzt wird.

In the winter 2016 the growth conditions for mushrooms were favourable , because the temperatures were relatively high and it was sufficiently moist up to now. The picture shows a birch trunk, which is decomposed by various lignicole fungi and microorganisms.

... dann ist er ganz in der Nähe, nämlich der Pilz Phallus impudicus (Gemeine Stinkmorchel). Die entfaltete Stinkmorchel ist wegen des unangenehmen Geruchs ungenießbar, das Hexenei hingegen essbar. Letzteres riecht und schmeckt rettichartig und kann nach Entfernen der Gallerthülle roh oder gebraten verzehrt werden.

Es hat einige Tage geregnet und schon sind die Pilze wieder zu sehen. Im Bild eine Gruppe von Helmlingen (Mycena), die auf abgestorbenen Pflanzenteilen, hier auf einem alten abgestorbenen Baumstumpf, leben. Gefunden in einem fränkischen Eichenmischwald.

It has rained a few days and already the mushrooms can be seen again. In the picture a group of Mycena, which always live on dead plant parts, here on an old dead tree stump. The group was found in a Franconian oak mixed forest.

Diese kleine Gruppe von Helmlingen fand ich in einem Eichenmischwald auf einem Baumstumpf. Auffällig sind die Schleimfäden von unbekannter Bedeutung, die sich von der Hutfläche ablösen und die Pilze leicht einspinnen. Die Aufnahme zeichnet sich durch ein ungewöhnliches Bokeh aus, was möglicherweise auf das Sony-Objektiv zurückgeführt werden kann, das ich benutzte.

I found this small group of Mycena in an oak mixed forest on a tree stump. The slime threads of unknown importance are conspicuous. They detach themselves from the hat surface and the mushrooms are slightly woven in. The shot is characterized by an unusual bokeh, which can possibly be ascribed to the Sony lens I used.

Diese kleinen Winzlinge fand ich heute auf einem Baumstumpf in einem Mischwald. Die in den Wald einfallende Nachmittagssonne ermöglichte diese Aufnahme. Die Pilzart kenne ich leider nicht.

Today I found these tiny little ones on a tree stump in a mixed forest. The afternoon sun that fell into the forest made this photograph possible. Unfortunately I don't know the mushroom species.

Nach den ergiebigen Regenfällen der letzten Wochen erscheinen jetzt auf den Wiesen und in den Wäldern wieder die verschiedenen essbaren und nicht essbaren Pilze. Lange wurden sie vermisst. Schön, dass es sie noch gibt! Im Bild eine Gruppe eines kleinen unbekannten Blätterpilzes.

After the abundant rainfalls of the last few weeks, the various edible and inedible mushrooms are now appearing again on the meadows and in the woods. They have been missing for a long time. It's nice that they still exist! The picture shows a group of a small unknown agaric.

I found these mushroom dwarfs today on a rotten branch in an oak mixed forest. It is the strict-branch coral fungus Ramaria gracilis. What a mysterious mushroom world!

Die Herbstwetter ist zur Zeit kühl und feucht, beste Voraussetzungen für das Wachstum der Pilze. Im Bild eine Gruppe von Helmlingen (Mycena), wachsend auf einem verrottenden Baumstumpf. Das Bild entstand in einem Laubmischwald.

The autumn weather is at the moment cool and humid, the best conditions for mushroom growth. The picture shows a group of mushrooms (Mycena) growing on a rotting tree stump. The picture was taken in a mixed deciduous forest.

Diese Pilzwinzlinge fand ich in einer nebelnassen Wiese und konnte sie im Gegenlicht fotografieren. Diese Pilzart habe ich als Gemeinen Scheibchentintling (Parasola plicatilis) bestimmt.

I found these mushroom midgets in a foggy meadow and was able to photograph them against the light. I have identified this mushroom species as pleated inkcap (Parasola plicatilis).

In höheren Lagen häufiger, in niederen Lagen eher selten ist ein eigenartiger Pilz, nämlich die Goldgelbe Koralle (Ramaria aurea), die früher mit ähnlich aussehenden Pilzen auch als "Ziegenbart" bezeichnet wurde.
Diese gelbe Koralle gilt jung als ein guter Speisepilz. Wegen Verwechslungsgefahr z.B. mit der Bauchwehkoralle (Ramaria mairei) (!) und wegen ihrer Seltenheit sind gelbe Korallen von Anfängern zu meiden!
Die Aufnahme entstand in einem fränkischen Laubmischwald. Die Höhe des Pilzes betrug ca. 10 cm.

More common at higher altitudes, but rather rare at lower altitudes is a peculiar mushroom, namely the golden coral (Ramaria aurea), which used to be called "goat's beard" along with similar-looking mushrooms.
This yellow coral is considered a good edible mushroom when young. Because of the risk of confusion, e.g. with the white coral Ramaria mairei) (!), and because of their rarity, yellow corals are to be avoided by beginners!
The photo was taken in a Franconian mixed deciduous forest. The height of the mushroom was approx. 10 cm.

In diesem Foto sind mindestens drei Pilzarten zu sehen, die ganz eng zusammen leben. Die rechte ist eine Schmetterlings-Tramete (Trametes versicolor), welche auf/in einem Baumstumpf lebt, der mit Moos überzogen ist. Im Bild sehen wir nur die Fruchtkörper der Pilze, die mit ihren Sporen der Verbreitung der jeweiligen Art dienen. Der eigentliche Pilz ist aber das Mycel, ein mikroskopisch feines Geflecht von Pilzfäden, die im Boden oder bei Baumpilzen im Holz leben. Pilzmyzele können bei manchen Pilzarten eine Größe von über einem Quadratkilometer erreichen. Die Pilzmyzele zersetzen bei vielen Arten tote organische Substanz im Boden und nehmen die freiwerdenden Nährstoff auf. Andere Pilze ernähren sich parasitisch von lebenden Organismen (z.B. Bäumen) und schädigen sie somit. Außerdem ist auch die Symbiose von Pilzmyzelien mit Baumwurzeln möglich (z.B. Steinpilz und Fichte).
Pilze sind neben den Pflanzen und Tieren die dritte Großgruppe der Organismen und eher mit den Tieren als den Pflanzen verwandt (!).

In this photo there are at least three species of fungi living very close together. The one on the right is a turkey tail (Trametes versicolor), which lives on/in a tree stump covered with moss. In the picture we only see the fruiting bodies of the fungi, which with their spores serve to spread the respective species. Eigentlich kommen zur Zeit in Franken aufgrund der großen Trockenheit in den letzten Wochen kaum Pilze vor. In einem Buchenmischwald fand ich aber auf einem feuchten Berghang eine große Vielfalt. Zwar keine essbaren, aber eine ganze Reihe von mir unbekannten Pilzarten, die noch dazu recht dekorativ in feuchtem Moos standen und zum Fotografieren einluden. Der Herbst ist also wirklich angekommen!

Actually, there are very few mushrooms in Franconia at the moment because of the great drought in the last few weeks. But in a mixed beech forest on a damp hillside I found a great variety. Not edible ones, but a whole range of mushroom species unknown to me, which were standing quite decoratively in wet moss and invited to be photographed. So autumn has really arrived!

An einem Eichenstamm in etwa 1,30 m Höhe fand ich diesen eigenartigen Pilz, nämlich den Igel-Stachelbart (auch Löwenmähne oder Affenkopfpilz genannt) Hericium erinaceum, mit einer beachtlichen Größe von über DIN A4 (1 Bogen Briefpapier). Dieser seltene Pilz kommt an verletzten Stellen von Laubbäumen vor und ist ein Schwächeparasit. Der Igel-Stachelbart ist ist angeblich im jungen Zustand essbar. Diesen auffälligen Pilz habe ich das erste Mal in meinem Leben gesehen.

On an oak trunk at a height of about 1.30 m I found this peculiar mushroom, namely the bearded hedgehog mushroom (also called lion's mane mushroom or monkey head mushroom) Hericium erinaceum, with a considerable size of over DIN A4 (1 sheet of writing paper). This rare fungus is found on injured areas of deciduous trees and is a weakness parasite. The bearded hedgehog is supposedly edible when young. I saw this striking mushroom for the first time in my life.
The picture was taken in a mixed deciduous forest.
