Im Hofgarten der Würzburger Residenz blühen in diesem Jahr die Bäume der Zierkirschen-Allee (Japanische Blütenkirsche, Prunus serrulata) besonders üppig und intensiv. Eine besondere Attraktion für Einheimische und Touristen. Im Bild ein Blick von außen in den Hofgarten. Die aufwändigen schmiedeeisernen Torgitter entstanden um 1750 in der Werkstatt des Hofschlossers Johann Georg Oegg.

This year, the trees of the cherry avenue (Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata) blossom particularly luxuriantly and intensively in the court garden of the Würzburg Residenz - a special attraction for locals and tourists. The picture shows a view from outside into the courtyard garden. The elaborate wrought-iron gate grids were made around 1750 in the workshop of the court locksmith Johann Georg Oegg.

Hanami, was eigentlich “Blüten betrachten” heisst, ist Volkssport in Japan. Die japanische Kirschblüte (jap. 桜 sakura) ist eines der wichtigsten Symbole der japanischen Kultur. Sie steht für Schönheit, Aufbruch und Vergänglichkeit (物の哀れ, mono no aware). Die Zeit der Kirschblüte markiert einen Höhepunkt im japanischen Kalender und den Anfang des Frühlings. Die Aufnahme entstand im Hofgarten der Residenz Würzburg.

Der Sommer im Schwarzen Moor (ein Hochmoor) in der Hochrhön bei Fladungen ist vorbei und in der Natur beginnt allmählich die Winterruhe. Das Schwarze Moor ist Teil des UNESCO-Biosphärenreservats Rhön. Die PiPs zeigen windgebeugte Kiefern und Reste von Sonnentau, eine Rarität im Herbst.

The summer in a high moor nearby Fladungen/ Germany is over and in nature the winter rest begins gradually. The Black Moor is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön. The PiPs show wind-bent pines and remnants of sundews, a rarity in autumn.

Im Naturschutzgebiet Schlossbergsattel bei Markt Einersheim (unterhalb der Burgruine Speckfeld) verlässt eine alte Weide die Lebenskraft. An der Basis entstand aber mittlerweile ein Neutrieb, eine Wiedergeburt ist also möglich. Die alte Weide ist so mächtig, dass man sie sogar in google earth sehr gut erkennen kann (siehe Ort).

In the nature reserve Schlossbergsattel near Markt Einersheim (underneath the ruins of the castle of Speckfeld) an old willow leaves the vitality. But in the meantime, a young growth has developed at the stem base, so rebirth is possible. The old willow is so big that you can see it even in google earth very well (see location).

Das neblige Herbstwetter hat in der Hochrhön dieses Jahr sehr bald begonnen. Wandern sollte man als Ortsunkundiger nur mit Kompass oder Navi, denn im Nebel ist die Orientierung erheblich erschwert.

Im Hochspessart ist im Moment Pilzsaison. Überall sprießen große und kleine Pilze, essbare und nicht-essbare. Die Aufnahme entstand auf dem Wanderweg von Lohr zur Sohlhöhe, eine der höchsten Berge des Spessart mit 530 m.

At the moment, mushroom season is in the nature park Spessart. Everywhere large and small mushrooms, edible and non-edible. The photograph was taken on the hiking trail from Lohr to the Sohlhöhe, one of the highest mountains of the Spessart at 530 m above sea level.

Bei der Kunigundenkapelle in der Nähe von Burgerroth befindet sich an der alten Friedhofsmauer diese Linde, die mehr als 800 Jahre alt sein soll. Close by the Cunegund Chapel nearby Burgerroth you can find this lime tree, which should be more than 800 years old. The tree has split into four parts and is still vital. A natural wonder!

Auf Madeira gedeiht der aus den Savannengebieten Südbrasilien stammende Palisanderbaum,Jacaranda mimosifolia, der im Frühjahr in Funchal als Alleebaum ganze Straßenzüge in ein kräftiges Blauviolett taucht. Die Aufnahme wurde gemacht aus der Gondel von Funchal nach Monte.
