Irgendwann ist Schluss mit solchen Abenteuern . . .
(Ein anderer Freund beim Ausstieg aus dem Klettersteig "Lehner Wasserfall" (Ötztal, Tirol). Das Wasser donnert von hier aus mehr als 200 m in die Tiefe.)

Some day this kind of climbing will be history for us . . .
(Another old friend of mine, leaving the fixed rope route. The water falls down more than 200 m from this point.)

A real Tyrolian Woman . . . isn't chicken-hearted and speeds up easily this strongly backward bending part of the fixed rope route "Lehner Waterfall" (Ötztal, Austria) with the rating "E" (within a range from A-E). Only masters of climbing are able to tackle it. For all others an easier bypassing exists.

. . . scheißt si nix und zischt locker auffi in dieser rückwärts überhängenden Stelle im Klettersteig "Lehner Wasserfall" (Ötztal, Tirol) mit dem Schwierigkeitsgrad E (in der Skala A-E). Das ist allerdings nur was für Geübte. Für alle Anderen gibt es eine leichtere Umgehung.

Climbing the fixed rope route Cascade of Lehn near Längenfeld (Ötztal, Tyrol, Austria). The thunder of the falling waters increases the psychological stress enormously. The difficulty of this route is classified as D/E within a range from A to E.

Im Klettersteig direkt neben dem "Lehner Wasserfall (Nähe Längenfeld, Ötztal, Tirol). Das Donnern der herabstürzenden Wassermassen erhöht den psychischen Druck beim Klettern dieses Steigs, der sowieso schon im oberen Schwierigkeitsbereich ist (D/E auf einer Skala von A-E), enorm.

Im oberen Bildteil beginnt die überhängende Wand des Klettersteigs "Lehner Wasserfall" (Ötztal, Tirol). Dorthin konnte der Fotograf der Kletterin nicht mehr folgen.

Above the climber the cliff is overhanging. The photographer wasn't able to follow the climber.

Der Lehner Wasserfall (Nähe Längenfeld im Ötztal, Tirol) nach den starken Regenfällen der letzten Wochen. Der Klettersteig daneben ist über lange Strecken überhängend und bei der Nässe extrem schwierig zu klettern.

The "Lehner Waterfall" near Längenfeld (Ötztal, Tyrol, Austria) with a lot of water as a result of heavy rains within the last weeks. The fixed rope route aside is overhanging for a long distance. To climb it is very difficult because of the wet cliff.

Glatte Felsplatte im Mittelteil des Klettersteigs "Lehner Wasserfall" (Ötztal, Tirol) - mit viel Eisen "entschärft".

Blank ledge in the middle of the fixed rope route - eased with a lot of iron.
