The other damaged corner to the same droplight, mainly splits (probably from over use of screws) rather than rotten. This bottom rail will have to be replaced as the other end is missing a significant area around the joint.

Damaged corner to one droplight, mainly splits (probably from over use of screws) rather than rotten. This bottom rail will have to be replaced as the section is rather narrow and as the final finish will be varnish, any repair would be very visible.

The droplights have been repaired and are now being revarnished. The conference room had been pressed into service as the most dust-free area, as the main workshop is busy making shavings.

The work on first passenger for the TR Ballast Brake is well advanced. The framework has now been glued up. Two new styles were produced as the originals were in very poor condition.

Tom, Kyle and Ian have begun the pre-gala shunting moves, so despite still requiring the application of more paint, No3 has ventured outside. The doors are still in grey undercoat.
