La journée du 21 novembre a commencé avec l'hiver et a terminé avec ce beau temps automnal. J'ai pris cette photo dans l'après-midi dans le parc du village.

By the way, although mustard blooms bright yellow, it is called ‘white mustard’. This has nothing to do with the flower, but with the seed, which is white.

17. OKTOBER – IST DER FRÜHLING ZURÜCK ? Es sieht aus wie Raps - ist es aber nicht. Was im Herbst draussen gelb im Feld blüht, ist die Zwischenfrucht Senf, der zur gleichen Pflanzenfamilie wie der Raps gehört. Übrigens : obwohl der Senf knallgelb blüht, heisst er "Weisser Senf". Das hat nichts mit der Blüte zu tun, sondern mit dem Samen, der ist weiss.

A walk around Lake Bosméléac is a real pleasure. Covering an area of 72 hectares, Lake Bosméléac is a reservoir built between 1830 and 1842. It was designed to supply the Nantes-Brest canal, and to regulate the course of the river during summer low-water periods.

LE LAC PAR UNE RADIEUSE JOURNEE D'AUTOMNE. La balade autour du Lac de Bosméléac est un grand plaisir à faire. D'une superficie de 72 hectares, c'est un lac de barrage, construit entre 1830 et 1842. Il était destiné à alimenter le canal de Nantes à Brest, et à réguler le cours de la rivière lors des basses eaux estivales.

It's an old railway line from which the rails have been removed and which has become a "greenway".

Uniquement pour marcheurs, cyclistes et cavaliers. Il s'agit d'une ancienne voie ferrée dont les rails ont été retirés et qui est devenue une "voie verte".

Nur für Wanderer, Radfahrer und Reiter. Es ist eine ehemalige Eisenbahnstrecke, von der die Schienen entfernt wurden und die nun ein "grüner Weg" ist.

I took this photo on Wednesday the 20th, a beautiful sunny autumn day. The next day, a nice white blanket covered the landscape, marvellous! But as soon as a snowflake falls here in the west, there are power cuts (and therefore internet outages)! So it was this time too: yesterday morning power cut, until this evening... you're lucky if you have an open fireplace and lots of wood.

ILS ATTENDENT LE FOIN. J'ai pris cette photo le mercredi 20, une belle journée d'automne ensoleillée. Le lendemain, un beau manteau blanc a recouvert le paysage, c'est magnifique ! Mais dès qu'un flocon de neige tombe chez nous à l'ouest, il y a des coupures d'électricité (et donc d'internet) !! Ce fut le cas cette fois-ci : coupure de courant hier matin, jusqu'à ce soir... alors on peut s'estimer heureux d'avoir une cheminée et beaucoup de bois.

SIE WARTEN AUF DAS HEU. Ich habe dieses Foto am Mittwoch, den 20. gemacht, einem herrlichen sonnigen Herbsttag. Am nächsten Tag bedeckte eine schöne weisse Decke die Landschaft, wunderbar! Aber sobald bei uns im Westen eine Schneeflocke fällt kommt es zu Stromausfällen (und damit zu Internetausfällen) !! So auch dieses Mal: gestern Morgen Stromausfall, bis heute Abend... da kann man froh sein, wenn man einen Kamin und viel Holz hat.

This church is dedicated to two saints (Saint Gervais and Saint Protais). Dating from the 12th century, its Romanesque architecture was altered in the 15th and 17th centuries. The last stone of the choir was laid in 1684. The distinctive feature of the exterior of the building is its bell tower, reinforced with buttresses and an intermediate arch. This type of bell tower is exceptional in the region. The church has unique furnishings, which can be seen in this photo as well as in this one.

APRÈS-MIDI ENSOLEILLÉ DE NOVEMBRE. Cette église est dédiée à deux Saints (SaintGervais et Saint-Protais). Elle date du XIIe siècle, ses architectures romanes ont été remaniées aux XVe et XVIIe siècles. La dernière pierre du chœur est posée en 1684. La particularité extérieure de l'édifice réside dans son clocher-campanile, renforcé de contreforts et d'un cintre intermédiaire. Ce type de clocher est exceptionnel dans la région. L'église possède un mobilier unique, à revoir sur cette photo ainsi que sur celle-ci.

SONNIGER NOVEMBER-NACHMITTAG. Diese Kirche ist zwei Heiligen gewidmet (Sankt Gervais und Sankt Protais). Sie stammt aus dem 12. Jh., ihre romanische Architektur wurde im 15. und 17. Jh. umgebaut. Der letzte Stein des Chors wurde 1684 gelegt. Die äussere Besonderheit des Gebäudes ist sein Glockenturm mit Glockengiebel, der durch Strebepfeiler und einen dazwischenliegenden Bogen verstärkt ist. Diese Art von Glockenturm ist in der Region aussergewöhnlich. Die Kirche besitzt ein einzigartiges Mobiliar, das man auf diesem sowie auf diesem Foto wiedersehen kann.

An interesting place for a picnic, with its alignment of standing stones and the old 19th century wash house in the background. It is composed of a rectangular masonry basin and is covered with a wooden roof structure.

LE CHANT DES LAVANDIÈRES S'EST TU DEPUIS LONGTEMPS... Un endroit intéressant pour un pique-nique, avec son alignement des pierres levées et le vieux lavoir du 19è siècle au fond. Il est composé d’un bassin en maçonnerie rectangulaire et est couvert d’une charpente en bois.

DER GESANG DER WASCHFRAUEN IST LÄNGST VERSTUMMT... Ein interessanter Ort für ein Picknick mit seiner Reihe von stehenden Steinen und dem alten Waschhaus aus dem 19. Jh. im Hintergrund. Es besteht aus einem rechteckigen gemauerten Becken und ist mit einem Holz-Dachgebälk bedeckt.
